Sweeping Ocean and Surf View, Closest to Beach, Best Floor plan, New Kitchen!!

Welcome to Casa de Playa! The perfect beach/surf house to enjoy the magic of Las Gaviotas.

Check out the waves while enjoying coffee on the deck with one of the best surf views in Las Gaviotas, then grab your board and paddle out within a minute walk! Our house is conveniently located just steps from the beach, only behind the first row of homes and directly across from the walkway down to the beach. It’s one of the closest houses to the beach and very private with one of the best unobstructed views in the community.

Two Master suites with queen bed (one downstairs and one upstairs), a third bedroom upstairs with two twin beds with full bathroom and a fourth bedroom (bunk beds) downstairs provides plenty of space for everyone, and the open layout in the living/kitchen area will help make your stay even more enjoyable.
As a bonus, there’s also a rooftop terrace/surf look-out spot in addition to the main level patio and lower-level patio.

The house has a new kitchen with granite countertop, a full-size Samsung refrigerator, a 6-burner GE stove, new GE Profile dishwasher and everything you can need to make it your home. The patio has a Weber gas BBQ grill and a Chimenea (Mexican fire pit)

Amenities include a full array of kitchenware, coffee maker, BBQ grill (gas), TV with cable, Blu-ray/DVD player, outdoor “chimenea”, WiFi, beach chairs, boogie boards and a soft top surfboard for your use.

You’ll fall in love with the charm of Las Gaviotas, with its cobblestone streets, the private oceanfront boardwalk, oceanfront pool, jacuzzi, shuffleboard court, tennis/pickleball court, etc. You’ll also feel very safe from the moment you arrive, knowing that the community has a team of 15 security guards patrolling the complex 24/7.

Come visit, love it and make this your family beach getaway house. Thank you for reading and please don't ask if you can bring more than 6 people since no exceptions will be made (seriously). Unfortunately, no pets are allowed by HOA. Calendar is always up to date so please refer to it for availability.

Las Gaviotas is awesome!

We really enjoyed the property and had plenty of room. It was clean and had what we needed. The owner made communication and entry to the property easy. The location is amazing, literally a short walk down the path to the beach, and it felt very safe there. If you like surfing, this place is def for you! We enjoyed playing on the beach with spikeball/exploring, pool/jacuzzi access, sport court with basketball hoops and pickleball courts, walks along the path of the property that overlooks the ocean. We enjoyed it all! The house itself could use some cosmetic updating, replace lightbulbs, etc, but other than that, it was fantastic! I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you!

Was exactly as advertised. Great location close to the private beach, awesome views, and a nice home setup with updated kitchen. The neighborhood is great, check-in/out was simple, hit lots of great local food spots including Puerto Nuevo and Valle de Guadalupe. Highly recommend!

Surf trip/vacay

Great spot in Las Gaviotas, that over looks the ocean from the balcony and roof top deck. Easy check in and out process, plenty of space for friends and family to sleep, relax, and hang out. Large coverd car port that’s great to store surf and beach stuff out of the sun. The house has everything you need for a surf trip or beach vacation, and the owner is super nice and easy to communicate with. 10/10 recommend

Comfort and a Few Quirks at Las Gaviotas

Our recent stay at Las Gaviotas just before Christmas was overall pleasant. This gated community ensures safety and security, and boasts excellent facilities such as a top-notch tennis court, a charming albeit small beach, and a swimming pool accompanied by a hot tub (note: the pool is unheated). It's an ideal spot for spending quality outdoor time with family. It's also nice for family strolls along the coastline. The area around is safe, with several restaurants within driving distance. A major grocery store is conveniently located about 7 minutes away by car. There are many rooms for sleeping accommodations spacious, a lovely balcony and a modern kitchen, and it's only a 3-minute walk from the private beach. While generally clean, some aspects could use attention. The bathrooms feel dated, and certain areas would benefit from a fresh coat of paint and minor repairs, like replacing a rusted window. The ground-floor area feels somewhat basement-like. Communication with the owner was smooth via email. However, a significant downside was the unreliable internet connection, which varied in quality and proved challenging for remote work on some days. This might be a consideration for those needing consistent online access. Despite these minor issues, Las Gaviotas is a recommendable choice, especially for larger groups, provided you're comfortable with a few imperfections.

Pelicans, Margueritas and Surfboards

Our stay at Las Gaviotas was amazing! The house was comfortable, clean, light, and bright, and had a fantastic ocean view from the upstairs patio. The location was great with a close-by short path to the surf beach. The Las Gaviotas community is clean and well maintained. Our host communicated well, provided helpful information about the restaurants close by, and made our check in and check out easy. We will definitely stay there again.

Great fam vacay

We came to Las Gaviotas to celebrate my birthday and Father’s Day with our 3 kids. The house is really nice and included all the comforts of home. It had more room than even our family of needed and the host, Jon was fantastic! He was very responsive and gave awesome recommendations prior to our arrival. A trip highlight were the daily fresh fish taco and margarita stands at the community pool. It made for a very fresh, authentic and delicious meal without having to leave the property! We are already planing our next trip back!
