This was honestly a 10 out of 10 stay. Don't hesitate to book. What makes this place so special is the staff. They really go out of their way to help you! For example, the staff were able to reserve an authentic top level izakaya at the last minute. They also gave us free tram tickets to visit Iwase. The location is super convenient right by JR Toyama stn. Lastly, the room has 3 twin beds. A rarity in Japan. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again the next time I visit Toyama.

Do you like to have sushi breakfast? Nigiri with locally acquired seafoods are fixed by a sushi chef and served immediately. There are also other delicious local dishes. The price of breakfast buffet is reasonable when you choose them.

Have no control over the temperature in individual rooms was a bit of a problem as I found the temp too hot at night.

My wife and I had a very pleasant two-night stay at Hotel Tateyama. We stayed one night before our Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route trip and another night after returning, and both stays were excellent. The hotel is very well maintained and offers a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights was the large mosaic-tiled onsen spa. The design is beautiful and reminds me of an aquarium. It has two levels, and the layout is thoughtfully planned so that different sections are not directly visible from one another, creating a greater sense of privacy and seclusion. The outdoor bath offers a wonderful view of the Tateyama mountains. We visited in early June, and enjoying the gentle early-summer breeze while soaking in the onsen was truly memorable. The service was exceptional. On the morning of our departure for the Alpine Route, the reception manager was incredibly courteous and helpful. Although the hotel normally provides a shuttle connection to Tateyama Station, we were departing around noon after the busy morning period. He personally drove us to the station and even helped us exchange our Alpine Route tickets. When we returned for our second stay, another reception manager recognized that we had stayed at the hotel just the night before. He had already prepared our registration information, saving us the trouble of filling out the forms again, and warmly thanked us for returning. These thoughtful touches made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated.
