Quiet modern family friendly South Toowoomba unit

Ground floor unit adjacent to our house in a quiet central location. Quiet leafy street with well appointed hotel nearby for wining and dining. Close proximity to shopping centres and CBD. Toowoomba Hospital and St Vincent's Private Hospital close by.
Shared Laundry facilities.
Self contained kitchenette complete with electric cook top and oven, microwave and dishwasher.
Queen sized bed in master bedroom and two single beds in second bedroom. Cot also available if required. Master bedroom has a walk in wardrobe attached.
Wall heater in main living area and ceiling fans in bedrooms and lounge area.
Quiet outdoor veranda area with barbecue facilities.
Please note that unfortunately we do not have WiFi or air conditioning.

What a lovely modern unit! Very clean and comfortable. The beds were great! Very quiet location central to everything. Basic staples in the pantry were great! Terry, the owner, is a lovely man and very obliging to requests. The tenant upstairs was also lovely and very friendly. We loved saying hello to the beautiful poodle, Phoebe, as well as the chooks, who greeted us each morning. It is a real “home away from home” and we highly recommend.

only one drawback
Loved the location and the unit. Only one minus. Lack of wifi. The dog was so very friendly towards me on our first meeting. Even rolled over and asked for a belly rub.Next and every time after that she wagged her tail like mad but then scooted away. We had trouble with a blocked toilet the last day of our stay. Reported it to the host who said he would get a plumber out to look at it. We left the unit about eight the next morning so don't know what time the plumber arrived. The toilet bowl was almost brimming over when we left.Loved the "girls". Three very friendly chooks.

Noisy upstairs. Zero empathy owner.
The upstairs tennant (daughter of owner) informed us as we arrived that she was dog siiting a puppy the same age as her puppy. The noise from them playing carried clearly through the celing to us below. This noise went into the evening. Footstep sounds carried through the ceiling including around 5am both days. We spoke with the owner (who decided to mow and whipper snip near our area) after we arrivied home mid arvo after a day out. His response to the dog noise was that he found it hard to sleep because of another neighbour's dog. Only stay here if you are a very heavy sleeper. The second morning while still dark outside someone dropped what sounded like keys straight above the main bed. My concern is the lack of empathy in the owner and poor build quality given the transfer of sound from above. Nice unit but not worth the stress.

Whole family enjoyed the 2 bedroom apartment. Well appointed kitchen, shaded outside area, adequate living room, comfy beds, quiet rooms made for easy sleeping. Loved having the chickens close by, a real bonus. Super convenient location. Only downside, and it is puzzling omission , was NO wifi! Otherwise, all awesome. Thanks

mid week break
The property is well situated within walking distance of Queens Park and a short drive from Picnic Point. It is in a quiet street and was easy to find. The unit was wonderfully clean, comfortably furnished and had everything we needed. It also has the added bonus of a small jasmine scented garden complete with three beautiful chickens and visits from a very gentle and sweet natured staffie called Peppa. We found it very peaceful and homely and all slept well on the comfortable beds. It fitted our family of four very well for a short stay. There is one bathroom and the loo is in the bathroom so it is probably more suitable for a small family group or couple who are of a quiet disposition as there is a tenant upstairs. Thanks to owner Terry for his quick communications and allowing us early arrival as we had a wedding to attend. All in all a good stay and a place I would highly recommmend.
