"This amazing slice of paradise was the perfect place for two friends (and a dog named Sprocket) to get away from it all for a brief moment. The atmosphere of the property was refreshing, and soaking in the hot tubs stole any of our remaining cares. Sprocket enjoyed the grounds, but especially the warmth of the fire. "Everything you could need for a long or short stay. Great veranda to enjoy the morning coffee from (or any time of day). If your tall, you need to watch the height of a couple of the doorways at night. Would definitely stay again."

"Property has a great location for watching all the activity in Mārahau from the deck whilst having breakfast! Explored the Abel Tasman tracks, visited Split Apple Rock and Kaiteriteri. Cafe/bar was close by for coffees or happy hour and dinner. Lovely holiday in a kiwi bach - thank you!"

"Over all good bar the sleeping arrangements and the odd bath room set up which could not be locked for privacy. Not suitable for easy access with 6 metre boat in tow very tricky driveway and would be near impossible without a 4 drive vehicle."

"The place had everything we needed. We cook a lot and there were ample kitchen utensils for all our needs. The wood fireplace worked great. We were able to walk to the water taxi and trail from the home. Highly recommend the home."

"Had a lovely ANZAC weekend at Fern Tree cottage - even went to the service at 11am just down the road. Spacious and warm, and just around the corner from the shops and bakery. Kids loved the rooms, and there was plenty of space for everyone. Highly recommended."

"The view and location was amazing and the house was generally clean and comfortable with some dusty bits and some cobwebs. But the place is a bit tatty and run down. It definitely needs an update or a price change. The kitchen needs more equipment, wooden spoons, oven dishes and some decent knives. The upstairs bathroom door doesn't stay closed. The screen doors on the balcony are broken. There was a trampoline which my son was excited to use but the net is badly broken so not safe to...

"The property is quirky with a fun eliment to it. There is a well stocked kitchen and plenty of other batch style books, games and DVDs. Not a property for elderly or people who struggle with stairs. Views are great and the grounds well kept."
