The unit had foul smell (smell like kitchen smell). There is no way to run ac to circulate the inside air because the system is set up for heat, even the ac unit has the world ‘cold’. Through Google translation with the staff, I could not open the window at all because of insects outside (even there are a few live and dead bugs inside the room). The onsen robes were damp. The staff gave me an air cleaner which runs max 4 hours. Even we ran it as long as possible, the smell never went away. Not much they or we can address the problem. It is just an outdated hotel. While checking in, we were only offered one room key. I had to explain a male staff that it is very illogical because my wife and I went to the onsen together and will not come back at the same time. Otherwise, one of us had to stayed inside the hotel. The staff was very impatient and gave us another key after he checked with someone inside an office. The breakfast was horrible with very limited section. The coffee machine only provided strong and weak (Americano) coffee and the strong coffee does not meet Japanese standard. No cereals were available and bread was sweet!! There was only one can fruit available. Onsen was located in a basement and users had to walk about 30-40 steps. I saw many elders had different walking up or down. Inside of both onsens was dirty and ther is no place to store slippers. As a result, users just left their slippers anywhere and everywhere.
