Experience peaceful lakefront serenity in this stunning contemporary home, a perfect family retreat. This well appointed 3 bedroom/3 full bath home includes a walk out lower level with additional open sleeping space to accommodate multi-family getaways. The home features an open concept fully appointed kitchen/dining and great room with panoramic views of the lake. Located across from a nature preserve, listen to the call of the Loons, see the Bald Eagles and the Deer that visit the lake in the mornings. The large upper deck with sun awning offers outdoor dining for 8, screened sun porch with sectional, large outdoor gathering area with fire pit. Sleeping space includes1st floor master suite with king bed, two bedrooms up each with a queen bed and lower level walkout features flex space sleeping (3 full size beds and 4 singles (bunks), full bathroom. Lower level also includes a game area and family room with large flatscreen tv, pool table and walk out access to the flagstone patio/firepit area. Lower level also includes extra refrigerator for additional beverages. Waterfront features include a large dock space for your boat and kayaks, life jackets not included. The property does not have a swimming beach, Clam Lake is good for swimming off your boat and there is a beach nearby on Torch Lake located by Dockside Restaurant.

Great house and location
We enjoyed our stay. Boated to torch one day and down grass river to lake bellaire another day. Caught perch and pike and had fun tubing. Loved campfire and star gazing. Played board games on our rainy night. House was great size for our group. Thank you!!

Best view on Clam Lake
We had the best time on our annual family summer vacation. The accommodations were perfect for our family with 4 teenagers. We did bring our pontoon and were able to enjoy both Lake Bellaire (35 min river ride) and the Torch Lake Sandbar (50 min ride). Cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Wonderful home on Clam Lake. Beautiful views from the deck. Enjoy your morning coffee on the pier and close out the evening at the fire pit/patio. Clean and well appointed. Shelly was a great host and answered any questions quickly.

Family & friends stayed together here to celebrate 2 birthdays. We enjoyed boating on Torch, Clam, & Lake Bellaire. Loved the convenience of having our boat right here on the dock. Got to go out at night to see the Northern Lights! Lots of room in the house & plenty of ame items we enjoyed. Cooked most meals at the home & enjoyed the nice big kitchen & deck. We noticed that the home has been updated more since the listing photos. Comfortable beds & furniture. We loved it!

Amazing 3 day boat trip the Antrim chain of Lakes
It was myself and my wife, our 6 year old son and 1 year old daughter, my mother and another couple. It was both of the couple’s anniversary, and one of our birthdays. So plenty to celebrate! The house was top notch. It had everything we needed and plenty of room! The first day was rainy so we didn’t get on the boat until the evening, but it’s one of those houses you perfectly content hanging out at. Everything was very clean. Great location. Great dock to tie our 25’ pontoon up to. Shelly was great to communicate with. Great memories were made. We look foward to renting this place again !

This was our second stay at this amazing house and peaceful property! We love it! Shelly is an amazing host! The house is so spacious! We love the pool table, fire pit, kayaks and of course watching the wildlife with beautiful Clam Lake in the backyard! Torch Lake Sandbar is a short 20 minute pontoon ride away! We can wait to come again!

Perfect for our Family
This is a fantastic property with plenty of room both indoors and outdoors. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We rented a boat from Butch’s Marina and it was just a short drive from the property and easy access to Torch lake. We’d definitely stay here again.

Exceeded Expectations!
It all starts with excellent communication with the host before, during and after our stay. This rental has it all, from modern amenities to unique location. Extra large lot and the siting of the home produce privacy that is uncommon for a lakefront rental in that area. The weather was perfect so we didn't need to take advantage of the games or pool table. We didn't even turn the TV on the entire week. With golf, winery, brewery, a secluded beach, and boat rental all very close, the days filled up fast. Grilling and campfires at night equaled a perfect ending. Thanks Shelly and Chris for sharing. See you next year!

Great time!
We had a great time on Clam Lake. I only wish we had more time. The house was perfect. Very clean and everything we needed. We went to Bellaire one night for dinner and had a great time and even decided to go back the next day. We spent one day at Sleeping Bear Dunes too and that was awesome. We always wanted to spend some time in Northern MI and it didn't disappoint so we'll be back. The house was exactly what we were looking for.

Unhappy Ending
Our vacation was wonderful. The home was spacious, clean and stylish. The location was absolutely lovely; private and natural. Upon checkout we followed all closing procedures and left the home in tip top condition. The following day I received an email from the owner with pictures of the house depicting damage and mess. THIS WAS NOT AT ALL HOW WE LEFT THE HOME. I have no idea what happened after we checked out. Perhaps someone was in there? Vandals? Perhaps the cleaning crew staged it? The owner was not willing to entertain any alternative reasons for the damage and charged me an extra $500. VRBO was not helpful in assisting me with the issue and shuffled me from person to person and department to department. There is no clear procedure in place to deal with such predicaments. I have been renting through VRBO for many years and have always received great reviews from owners. I will now be sure to take many photos of the home upon check in and check out and purchase the extra insurance.

Amazing Weekend Away with Friends
My husband and his friends traveled to this property for a guy's weekend and had an amazing time. The house was SPECTACULAR. Plenty of room for all of them, very clean, and many amenities. They spent most of the days out golfing, but enjoyed being back at the house in the evening for bonfire, cornhole (which they brought), grilling, and just being outside on the great property. Shelly was a terrific host, and offered very clear check-in and check-out procedures. She also offered great recommendations for local boat rentals, and they ended up renting a pontoon boat one day from Dockside. They were able to drive to Dockside, pick up boat, and drive straight to house via the lake channels and pick up everyone else. All in all, they had an amazing time. We are planning on returning with our kids for a family trip in the future. Thank you Shelly for providing a wonderful time!
