“Absolutely a diamond in the rough! I have always love older historical homes and this one is just beautiful. Lots of upgrades without losing the original design. We only need a one night for wedding at The Corry House which is only 5 minutes away!”

“The front desk service is enthusiastic, the facilities are perfect, clean and tidy.”

“Clean room, comfortable bed, great walk in shower (with foot rest for shaving!) A perfect stay.”

“This is a good inexpensive place to stay when you want to save on hotel expenses. It was clean and you received what you paid for. The staff was excellent.”

“I have no words. I am someone who does not mind a hotel that isn’t fancy but this was lower than the worst!!! From the outside it looks charming but when you walk in!! First you are hit with a stench! They automatically take your payment so you cannot leave to go somewhere else. Then you go in… when I say it should be condemned!!!! The back door is broken so it is not a secure place at all. There are broken refrigerators as well as a treadmill laying in the hall beneath the stairway. Definitely……

“The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!”

“Rooms humid and the bed sheet and pillow sheets need to be washed properly”
