Lodges in Venerato

Perfect place to stay away from the chaos of Heraklion! The food in the restaurant is AMAZING - definitely try the grilled mushrooms if you can (we had it twice)! The homemade white and red wine are also amazing! The room was clean and spacious, and the property itself is beautiful and peaceful. Nicolas was an amazing dinner host. We loved every minute of our stay!

A beautiful setting to explore the enchanted village of Archanes. Be prepared for lots of friendly cats, you may wish to bring some treats with you, or pick some up at the local market. Hosts recommendations for dining and exploring were very good.

Very good value for a full apartment with kitchen and living room. Close to the airport.

The property was a “green” property and everything in the room supported that goal.

This is an extraordinary boutique hotel. Our room was luxurious with a very large balcony with large table and hot tub. Very nice view as well. Staff was welcoming, informative, and answered all questions well. Breakfast was delicious and substantial. Although a little bit out of the historic downtown area of Iraklion, that district was a very walkable distance away. We enjoyed being in the less touristy part of the city and enjoying the local restaurants and shops frequented by residents....

Great location. Surrounded by activity and yet very quiet in the room. Loved the kitchenette and the modern look.

Are only disappointment was only booking for one night. Spectacular view, charming host and hostess, George and Aphroditi treated us like family and fed us just as well! Aphroditi is a fantastic cook. This hotel is so lovely! We enjoyed walking to see a 300 year old church and all of The acres of grape, olive, fig, and flower gardens. We ate grapes right off the vine. Thank you for a wonderful visit. We will be back!

We’ve been traveling in Greece for a month and this stay has been the most amazing. The host has thought of every luxury and convenience. From the private pool to the high-end finish out of the houses, it is just stunning. The kitchen is so well stocked to make anything. From the microwave to the oven to the electric griddle to the outdoor gas grill, the washer and dishwasher. The parking for your car is very secure. It’s a quick walk into to the restaurants of Archanes if you don’t want to...

We initially had booked 2 nights here and had fortunately not booked any of our 3 remaining nights in Crete. As soon as we stepped foot in the place, we immediately booked another 2 nights. The house was amazing! It had a full kitchen, loft, wooden spiral staircase, 2 bathrooms, and 2 balconies. The village itself was very quaint and friendly with exceptional views of the surrounding countryside. The local restaurant had delicious traditional food at inexpensive prices and a great balcony view...

Good access to the airport. Close to the bus to Heraklion. Staff were very helpful. The only wrinkle is that water in the rooms is non-potable so bring your own water.

Location was perfect, close to city center and historical sites. City is busy and little crazy to drive in but is fun if you are up for the adventure. The hotel was impeccable and since the moment we got there the staff was helpful. Digital keys are always hassle free. Room had everything we needed and more. Hotel has only a couple spots for parking if you have a car but only a block away there is a parking garage which had really great service. Also around the corner there is a great...
