Arrived very late from out-of-state (drove with my son & his dog to MSU). I was stressed out from the drive & my son couldn’t get into his apartment that 1st night. The staff at Candlewood Suites were kind and very helpful. No rooms left with 2 beds, but they offered us a cot for my one bedroom suite. The little store in the lobby was well- stocked & laundry and exercise facilities were great. Rooms were clean and nice, but the staff made the stay enjoyable (especially Christina) and went out of their way to be accommodating. Highly recommend and I will be back!

Great location! Great breakfast potatoes, ever! I guess the only drawback I had as I was traveling with Child, was not having a microwave in the room. The balcony was an added luxury due to the fact that I was also working while staying in Michigan. Although there weren’t chairs or a view on these balconies, I was able to take business calls outside. Until I saw the next-door balcony resident lean over to look inside of my space. It was a little weird. The pool was amazing, but very cold and the hot sauna was perfect! Although I stayed from a Tuesday through Friday, I did not see the tiki bar opened at all near the pool. Overall, staff were super amazing front desk. Staff were knowledgeable room service was accommodating!

The parking for check-in was difficult. There was no where to park to check-in. The valet made me give him my keys to hang on to for the 5 mins then I had to wait for them to be given back. The road/car noise from the 3rd floor room was terrible. They need better sound proofing. We couldn't fall asleep until after 1:00am. It was like there was a reacetrack outside our window. I would highly recommend against staying in room 315 or anywhere near the road. It's unfortunate because the hotel is very nice, the room was large and comfortable, and everything was clean.

Everything was great. I do wish that hot breakfast items were not so heavy on the pepper. It can be added later but certainly can’t be removed.
