Here’s my honest review:
The free shuttle drivers were the highlight of our stay — they were extremely friendly, kind, and genuinely helpful. The hotel itself looks like a standard, typical hotel and meets basic expectations in terms of appearance. That said, the location is quite far from any train station, and although a free shuttle service is provided, we were not clearly informed about where to wait for pickup, which made the arrival experience confusing. Our interaction with the concierge staff was less positive; while they tried to appear friendly, the service felt somewhat forced and not very welcoming, which made us uncomfortable. The room air-conditioning did not function properly and kept turning off automatically when it did not detect movement in the room. The bed consisted of two single beds pushed together, which affected comfort. We were also cautious about using the tap water, as we noticed sediment and observed many locals purchasing bottled water instead. Additionally, the kettle and hairdryer appeared worn out and not very clean, suggesting they may not have been well maintained.
We had higher expectations as DoubleTree is a well-known Hilton brand, but unfortunately the overall experience was not very pleasant. We would likely not choose to stay here again, if not for the convenience of attending the Inter Milan vs Liverpool match.
