"We loved staying in Ross House. The place is quiet but close to many amenities. We loved canoeing on the lake. The pier is only 200m from the hotel. You can also go to a small beach about 3km from the hotel - short drive, beach is safe for kids. The hosts are super friendly and relaxed. Breakfast was great too. I will gladly go back "

Frequently asked questions

What is the nightly rate for a Bed & Breakfast in Virginia?
Prices for B&Bs in Virginia often vary, but you can find a great deal from $110 with Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as location and the time of year. It usually costs more to stay at Virginia B&Bs over the weekend too. Travelers can find the best deals by being flexible with their dates, and by using our filters to sort prices from low to high.
When is the best time to book a Bed & Breakfast in Virginia?
The best time to book a B&B in Virginia is during the vibrant fall season, particularly in October. This month is celebrated for its stunning autumn foliage, where the landscape transforms into a canvas of rich reds, oranges, and yellows, offering a picturesque backdrop for outdoor exploration. As temperatures cool to the comfortable range of the low 40s to mid-60s Fahrenheit, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, from leisurely hikes in Shenandoah National Park to wine tastings in the scenic Virginia wine country.

While the summer months, particularly June through August, draw many tourists eager to experience Virginia's historical landmarks and outdoor festivals, October provides a more relaxed atmosphere. The crowds thin out, allowing for a more intimate experience at popular sites like Monticello and Colonial Williamsburg.

For those considering a more budget-friendly visit, November can be a wonderful time to enjoy the lingering beauty of fall with fewer tourists. The cooler temperatures and quieter attractions create an excellent opportunity for peaceful exploration and reflection.

Whether it's a cozy reading space or a sunlit breakfast nook to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, the quaint details are what make bed and breakfasts a home away from home.
