Amazing service. I thought something was broken because I was turning it the wrong way, and maintenance was sent to my room within 5 minutes. Housekeeping keeps your room pristine daily. The low platform bed was so comfortable and I had a top floor view. I did not want to leave. Thank you Cecilia for your yoga class!

I appreciated the location of the hotel: Right next to the Waikiki Beach and also a convenient 12 minute walk to Ala Moana which has a ton of great food and shopping options. It was about a 15 minute walk to Royal Hawaiian Center, International Marketplace and all those newer hotel areas in East Waikiki, and less than 15 minutes to 7-11 and the food truck park. The hotel is somewhat older but still okay. However the front desk staff did not really explain the facilities when I checked in, and when my tv remote stopped working on day 2, I turned it into the front desk who said a new one would be sent up to my room. Every day I asked the front desk about it and it was a new person who kept saying the same thing: what's your room number, one will be sent up... for 3 days. Finally, one front desk staff, John, said to call guest services if a new remote doesn't arrive within 20 minutes. That's what I had to do, and 5 minutes later I had a new remote delivered. Why the front desk didn't communicate with guest services for 3 days, I'm not sure... On the noisier side at night, the sound proofing for outside is not that great but the sound proofing between rooms seems excellent (either that or no one was staying in the rooms around me?). There are two FloWater water dispensers for filling your bottles on the first and second floor. I'm saying this cuz the front desk didn't say anything about it but it would have been nice to know from day 1.

The lift wasn’t working our whole 7 day stay and there were no ramps. It was hard to use our stroller with 2 kids. Also, there was an instance where it smelled like weed in the garage and the security guard came up to our car as we were getting out and accused us of smoking (mind you, we have a baby and a toddler). When I told him it wasn’t us (which we gave him no reason that it was us other than the smell, which by the way, it always smelled), he didn’t even care to apologize and say a simple “oh, my bad”. He just said “I don’t think so” and went away. Overall, the experience was good because it was quiet, the pool was kid friendly, and the housekeeping staff and front desk were nice.

Very clean. Two pools. Not huge but decent size. Property offers some free activities like morning yoga, lei making. Room was very modern and clean. I would say make sure you ask for room away from elevator bc ppl are loud and inconsiderate. Free waters. I didn’t eat on property bc of pricing but they do have restaurant. You can walk to so many restaurants and convenient stores close by. Target is 15 min walk. Beach is 10 min walk and prob 40 min to walk entire beach. Great Hilton choice. I would stay here and just walk to Hilton Hawaiian resort (6 min walk). They don’t gatekeep. Enjoy that property but save some cost by staying here.

Property was a bit old, the carpet in the room could have been cleaner. Very hard to find the property, not very good signage. Staff was very nice and friendly, helpful when needed. Figuring out parking was tricky but ok once figured out.

Staff: Excellent, super friendly and helpful. Rooms: Clean, modern. Not enough chairs to sit at the table. Bathroom has a sliding door. Shower was fantastic! Strong water pressure. Provided good shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. No bathtub. Closet was spacious with shelves. No drawers. Pool: nice! Lots of lounge chairs. Provides free towel service. Pros: McDonald’s and ABC store right across the street. Hilton Village just around the corner- lots of restaurants. Hilton Lagoon right next door. Beach is a 10 min walk away. Ala Moana mall just a 15 min walk. Felt safe! Cons: Room was located on the beach side which was also the noisy side. Loud music from the pool on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. If you have kids that go to bed early, not ideal. Beds were on a platform with sharp edges. Also not ideal if you have small kids. Bathroom had these weird windows that you can peer into. No privacy if that’s what you’re looking for. Room fridge is tiny. Beach umbrella rentals (3rd party) were $40 and beach chairs $30. Rip off!

Only one gentleman front desk was helpful. The bell gentleman was not helpful . They don't offer but too water. Bed set so low. My back was hurting couldn't sleep comfortable!!!

Walking distance to beach. Close to everything. Can walk to main shopping areas and restaurants. The hotel has parking, but on the street by the hotel and the marina there is available parking. Rooms were clean and daily house keeping was great. The gym did the job. Hotel supplies towels to go to the beach. Overall would stay at the hotel again.

If you plan on hanging out in Waikiki or hanging out by the beach, this is not the place to stay in. But if you plan on going to the Ala Moana Mall, then this is conveniently a walking distance hotel. Our room was in front of the 3 elevator doors and it feels like a plane was taking off every minute. Although they close the 2 elevator s at 10 P.M. and opens them again at 6 A.M., it was annoying to hear the sound in our room. Although it has a very excellent staff service but I don’t know why they call it Modern Hotel when nothing is modern in it. Our king bed wasn’t comfy, neither the pull out bed, the pillows were run down. The only thing I liked in this hotel was the strong water pressure from the shower. We spent so much time walking back and forth to Waikiki.

I stayed from 03/27/24 to 04/04/24 and this was my fourth time stayed in last two years. Didn't have much problems before but this time was a nightmare, people smoking weed in the room from next to us day and night therefore my daughter was vomiting and got sick so I went to front deck and complained front desk person acting like a nothing we can do about it. After another complained that night finally they switched my room to different floors but they gave me a cityview room from oceanview

Room was nice and just big enough for my family of 4 (w double beds). Great location in front of marina and short walk to beach. Nice restaurants inside hotel, nice views, clean outside and great views. There are safes inside of the rooms. I highly recommend you use them. My son left his wallet out one day on nightstand during the day and when we returned it was less $200 and missing a Ralph Lauren jacket. (They were nice enough to leave the two $1 bills he had in there). We filed report with security. After that we were a little on edge and asked for no more cleaning services for the remainder of the trip. Apparently this is not uncommon in the hotels in Hawaii. Just be aware of that. I’d stay there again because the location was great, room and facilities were perfect for what we needed. I would only recommend that you clean your own room and request amenities as needed from the front desk and keep that do not disturb sign on your door.

This hotel was beautiful, clean and in a great location. The staff was so nice and helpful ans they have a great text option for any front desk questions. The room was really nice and had a mini fridge, keurig, microwave, blow dryer and functioning A/C. There were 2 pools once for adults only and the family pool with a bar where you can order from the hotel's restaurant. There was also a walkway you can take down to the beach or to the nearby lagoon where you can check out a quick fireworks show every Friday evening. There were plenty of things to do nearby, my husband and I walked around and found great food and stores walking distance. I would definitely book with them again!
