Sunsets from our 2 lanais are great -- as they also are from the Hali'i Kai Resort's Ocean Club. We love to watch the sun set into the vast ocean; amazing views. Food at the Ocean Club is well-prepared and nice portions. - and the fact that you can just walk there and back = easy and fully enjoyable. Thanks for the cleaning the coffee maker & dishwasher.... We actually do that super every item deep clean about every 4 - 5 months when we travel back to stay at each of our units to 'guest-test' everything. We arrive at Hali'i Kai later this month. Generally with recent additions to staffing [post Covid shut downs], the overall level of for dining + for the bar has been highly satisfactory to our guests and to us. FYI: We plan to install 2 new ceiling fans [fully controllable] this Fall as the Casablanca remote controls seem to not operate well at certain fan speeds. We, too, enjoy looking over the signature hole of the Beach Golf Course - to the Pacific Ocean. Sunsets are especially amazing and can be enjoyed from both of the lanai areas. We do take pride in providing a well-stocked and CLEAN condo for our guests and we appreciate your comments. We want our guests to have core items [shampoos & bath items as well as all laundry products, etc.]+ 'extras' readily available so 'vacation time' is not spent acquiring these items at the store. The BEACH closet is likewise stocked with tennis racquets, putters [for the putting area across from our unit], beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, boogie-boards and other beach-gear to enable guests to go outside and enjoy the many beautiful areas nearby. We do take pride in our condo units [here at Hali'i Kai + a penthouse at nearby Kolea]. We stay at each of the units for several weeks a year working to keep each in 'tip-top' shape for our guests so we all can enjoy our stays in welcoming accomodations. We love relaxing with a beverage and a fine meal -- while watching the ocean, especially at sunset and into to evening when the pool lights and tiki torches add that special glow....[then to finish off with a dip in the sand-bottomed hot tub!] Perfect day / evening and to stroll home looking up at the sky FULL of stars! Hi April and fellow travelers. We are pleased that the 8 of you enjoyed your stay at our 3 BR + 3 BA condo at Hali'i Kai. This townhouse, 2 story floor plan is the largest at Hali'i Kai., and it offers 2 lanai areas. Yes, the views are amazing! We, too, love seeing the ocean directly over the golf course; nice sunsets + also looking at Mauna Kea. We can often see the glints off the observatories there. There have been some staff additions at the Ocean Club - which is now open for lunch & dinner 7 days a week [well-prepared food, always]. Nice to hear that everyone there plus at check-in is friendly and welcoming! That's the goal, so that all guests can enjoy the beauty of Waikoloa. Thanks, also for your communications with us; you, too, were very nice to work with. Re: distance to the pool & the Ocean Club, we generally walk the 5 - 6 minutes there and enjoy all of the nicely landscaped grounds along the way. Or, as you mentioned, the drive is super quick and parking is right out front. Perhaps you and your group were able to enjoy the live guitar entertainment over the weekend - we love sitting outdoors, listening to the soft slack-key guitar with a refreshment, while looking over the broad ocean in the late afternoon.
