Walk to the New River
Beautiful home with a cool, rustic farmhouse feel. You’ll love the open floor plan and all the room to spread out. House has two bedrooms and one bath. One room has two queen beds and the second has a full and a twin. Fully equipped with all the necessities. This home is situated in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, the newest National Park. The town of Meadow Creek is nestled in the valley along the New River and the trout-stocked Meadow Creek. Enjoy hiking, birding, floating and fishing - all right outside the door. Guests have full access to the house. We live across the road and are available as needed. We are conveniently located off interstate 64, exit 139. The house is 30 minutes away from Hinton, Beckley and Lewisburg. We are about 45 minutes to Fayetteville and 40 minutes to Pipestem State Park. The best way to get around is personal vehicle. We do not have public transportation or Uber/Lyft. 🚂 Our house is situated along a set of railroad tracks that is only used to move railcars. *️⃣ We use a well system for water. It is iron water and has a sulfur smell. The water is safe to use. Even though it is safe to drink, we keep the house stocked with bottled water for guests.

Overall stay was great failed to mention there is no heat in main part of the house only in the bedrooms the sulfur in the water is really bad I turned the water on in the bathroom and could smell it throughout the entire house I felt like i was walking around smelling like a rotten egg from the sulfur smell of the water they did however provide bottled water for drinking and cooking and considering everything is far from property I feel ice trays would be great to have there as well
