Skamania lodge is magical. Between the beautiful views, the serene grounds, the friendly and helpful staff, great food and cozy rooms, you can't go wrong here. We've stayed several times and we've never had a single complaint. We just love it here, it's a must do if you are visiting the Columbia River gorge.

Great hotel for the price. Pool and hot tub is nice and warm. But the hub tub timer switch was broken as we didn’t have any jets. Other than that it was great.

Parking was tight in the lot and not enough spaces for all of the rooms. No street parking anywhere near the building. The room and bedding were clean but rundown. The building had a fresh coat of paint that didn't hide the old and outdated nature of the structure well. No breakfast on site. Front office staff friendly but not overly concerned about the welfare of the customers. The grounds were dirty, rundown and unkept with an old toilet sitting in plain sight by the building. There was trash and homeless bedding on the property in plain view from our river view balcony which was a real turnoff. Overtly impaired homeless people were wandering the grounds at night raising safety concerns for us customers especially with hotel staff leaving the office and grounds unattended after 10pm. This place is a bargain basement hotel at a nice hotel rate. I'll stay at a better location next time for sure.

We got to the motel after driving for 2 hrs. The office was closed the whole time we were there. 3 days. We had to get back in the car & drive a few blocks over to their sister hotel, which was honestly kind of a pain after that long of a drive. The room was very clean but it was very small. No chain for the ceiling fan so we couldn't use the fan. It was so hot and muggy in there. The remotes for the TV barely worked. Couldn't change the volume. No exhaust fan in the bathroom so it made it insanely humid in the room. The housekeeper was very friendly and bright us new towels. Honestly for the price it was not worth it, but we got it last minute and everything else was full or very expensive.

The grounds and the room were dirty. We didn’t want to use the showers. The rooms were rough. We had a bay view and couldn’t see out the filthy windows. The previous reviews were misleading. I wish we had stayed somewhere else.
