Next-level Social Distancing - the Definition of Get-away-from-it-all!

Romantic cabin with spa tub and sauna
The cabin is set in 120 private acres which will be yours to roam while you are visiting. With 1500 feet of native lake shore, you might not encounter another person the duration of your stay! We have spent the last year transforming one of the first cabins on the lake into our own personal hide-away. Just 30 feet from the lake, you will feel like your sleeping on the water! Newly landscaped to restore the area around the cabin to native shoreline habitat. Equipped with big-screen TV, cable, and high-speed internet. This property isn't for everyone, but if your idea of vacation includes the words glamping, secluded, get-away-from-it-all, quiet, and private, than it might be for you! The cabin has a sleeping loft with two twin xl beds that can be pushed together for a king. Downstairs there is a nice sized sectional couch with an ottoman that converts into a cot. There is a small kitchenette downstairs that includes a microwave and a refrigerator. Bathroom facilities are primitive (i.e. there is an outhouse). After a long day on the trails or in the lake, relax in the wood-fired sauna. We have set up a unique deck with a hot tub and solar shower available in the summer months. Snowmobile in/out in the winter months. Please note that the cabin itself is about a 1/4 mile drive from the main road. There is a steep incline to drive the last 500 ft down to the cabin. Those with rear-wheel drive should consider parking at the top of the hill and walking to the shoreline. The cabin is primitive, and you will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a charcoal and gas grill on site. Unless otherwise arranged, you will need to bring your own bedding and pack out your garbage. In doing this, I will waive all cleaning fees..
Guest accommodations at this cabin offer air conditioning. Accommodations offer separate living rooms. Guests can make use of the in-room refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee/tea makers.
Recreational amenities at the cabin include a spa tub and a sauna.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.

Gorgeous escape
Loved the location in the woods and on the lake. Plenty to do and beautiful views.

Wonderful time at a perfect location! We really appreciated the kayak and paddle board to play in the water. Watching the loons up close was incredible. Bring your big spray!

Great family trip w/ the dogs!
The whole family (wife, 14 yo daughter, 11 yo son, and myself) including the dogs had a great time! This was the first time we ever did any type sort of glamping or camping and we loved it. We took advantage of the stand up paddle board and brought our own kayaks which was great for fishing and seeing the lake. At night we loved using the fire pit and hot tub at night and took in the sauna one morning. We hope to find some other dates to get back to the property...fun stuff!

Beautifully simple escape
Loved the cabin...Hated to leave. Only thing missing was a hammock for those beautiful cool breezes off the lake. Hot tub was a treat.

Rustic get-away
We had a great long weekend at the cabin. My husband, 2 toddlers and I usually tent camp this time of year, but since the state parks were closed due to Covid-19, we were looking for another option. The cabin is great and just as described. We brought all our own utinsiles, cups, plates, sleeping bags, camp soap, etc just as we would camping. All in all, if you treat this spot like you are camping, you will be very happy! The hot tub was a great feature. We had some cool days in the late spring air, so an afternoon tub soak was fun for all. Water traffic was very calm, just a few sleepy pontoons and fishing boats passing by. One note (not at all to do with the facilities) we oulled 50+ deer ticks off of us over the 3 days we were there. We have never encountered so many in any of our outdoor trips. I read on the DNR website that it is a very bad year for ticks, so I'm sure this will pass. No big deal, just bring some good repellent and check your kids and dogs a few times a day. I had a few questions while there, and Sara was very responsive and helpful. We all enjoyed our time, and hope to return someday.
