(162 reviews) We had booked an en suite room (Rm8). The check in was easy and room although basic ie a d/bed (which was comfy enough) and large tv was clean as was bathroom. It had tea and coffee and it was quite quiet. Room was well heated. Only down sides were only 1 very flat pillow each which was not ideal for sleeping(we didn’t get back until near 11pm so nobody there)and shower hose stand was broken at top making it hard to shower without holding(left note). No disturbance but a lingering smell in room, partly a drain smell from shower. Needed a spare key for my son butvthere wasn't one. Good, frequent bus system, into Edinbugh, from stops very close by. (417 reviews) On arrival I spoke with the Owner as on previous occasions we have been in a room with no heating in the middle of winter and on another occasion, no hot water for showering when we stayed for two nights, despite complaining about the fact we had no water. On this occasion we did have heating and the shower was warm but not hot. There does seem to be a lack of staff with one member of staff having everything to do front of house i.e taking food orders, serving the bar, checking customers in therefore some times you can have a bit of a wait to be dealt with / served.
