"Beautiful property in a quaint little town, run by a lovely couple! He is a chef and they also run the pub up the road. Delicious food at the pub and also for our included breakfast. We even sat in the library after dinner and were offered a glass of port. Just a delightful stay!"

"The owner has created a good, comfortable, clean, cost effective place in a decent area of Southend. The check in, security and facilities are well organised."

"Not brilliant really I'm afraid to say. Welcome was nice enough and the guy on duty was really happy to move his car so I could park my van in the parking area. He was very kind in this respect. However the room (no 2) was quite shabby. At first glance it looked ok but look closer and it definitely needs modernisation and at the very least a deep clean and paint job. There was residual dust in places (not everywhere but you could tell places that weren't cleaned). There were also multiple trip...
