The Granary Cottages are a small complex of individual cottages, converted from a traditional farm building located just off the A171/A169.

Description:
Stunning stone cottages only a short drive from Whitby and the coast. The cottages offer a parking space and large gardens with lovely views of the countryside and coast. The cottages are within the boundary of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park with its many beautiful villages and walks with several footpaths running through the grounds giving you great access to the countryside.

Perfect Location, beautiful property
The cottage was perfectly for us, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, with everything you may need for a stay away from home, from a picnic bag to a slow cooker. The location is perfect.Walking distance to the park and ride for Whitby and a great restaurant and pub across the road. We also took advantage of the lovely bridal paths for walks in the countryside. Jenny the host was very responsive. I would definitely recommend

Lovely break
This was the first time we stayed in Whitby, it was lovely, the Granary cottage was gorgeous plenty of room and immaculate, perfect for a family of 4, the location was brilliant over looking open fields, the park and ride was just a short walk away which was ideal as Parking in Whitby isnt always great, the beach was lovely, and communication with the owner was great, all in all a brilliant holiday, thanks Jenny

The Beautiful Granary Cottage No1
We could not have asked for better accommodation and location than we found at the Granary Cottages. Thank you, to Jenny for a wonderful stay in Cottage No1. We have had a lovely time exploring Whitby and the surrounding area, but it was so nice to come back to such a lovely and very comfortable cottage. Jenny and her husband have certainly created an amazing space for guests to enjoy inside and out...and I just loved the décor of our cottage and all that is available within...modern, comfortable, spotless, spacious and fully equipped 😊. It was lovely to be able to sit outside too, with plenty of well kept space and a lovely view. They must be so proud of what they have achieved to make returning to the cottage so pleasurable after a busy day of exploring. We would definitely love to return. Thank you, for such a lovely stay 😊

Wonderful break
Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay in Cottage 1. Communication from Jenny was great and we received a lovely welcome from her when we arrived. The cottage had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. It was spotlessly clean. Ideal location too. We used the Park and Ride in to Whitby which was so easy. £5.20 for the day, buses every 15 mins and only took 10 minutes in to Whitby. Ideal for visiting the town and also doing a trip on the Steam Engine from the station. We’d definitely book again.

Home away from home.
We have just returned from a fabulous week in Whitby, made all the even more special because of The Granary. We stayed in cottage 1, three perfect bedrooms, the children loved the tvs in their rooms. A great sized bathroom and having the extra toilet downstairs was really useful. Jenny has thought of everything. A well resourced kitchen, lots of little extras we've never had before - picnic blanket and a picnic cooler bag. The children loved the shared lawn area, plenty of room for a game of football. We also loved the outdoor seating. Great views of the countryside and some pretty special sunsets. The park and ride is a few minutes walk away and really reasonable for a family ticket. We will definitely be recommending The Granary to friends and hope to revisit soon.

The cottage was spotless, well equipped, and very comfortable. It was ideal for our three-generation family break with plenty of outside space for the youngest to play. The location provided easy access to both the Yorkshire Coast and Moors. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Exceeded expectations- just perfect!
Party of 4 adults and a toddler stayed in cottage 1 for 4 nights. The cottage was modern, immaculate and in the perfect location and only a 5 minute walk from the park and ride into Whitby. The kitchen/dining/livingroom is open plan and much bigger than the photographs suggest with a door opening onto a lovely garden area. Bedrooms were all of a great size with plenty storage. The owners are lovely and they have literally thought of everything . Would 100percent recommended and would definitely stay again if visiting the area again!

Amazing property, fab location!
From the booking process to the check out, jenny was fantastic! Little touches like the welcome basket, the texts and quick replies to messages made it all so simple. The location is great, right by the park and ride. Take your walking boots/wellies to walk across the field to get there (5-10 mins tops). Then £5 family ticket return. Brill. All the current covid restrictions have been considered too. Would recommend 100%!

Lovely accommodation perfect for families and small groups
We had a wonderful stay at Jenny's property - Cottage 1 which is 3 bedroom. The cottage still felt new and has been extremely well maintained. It was warm and homely and exceptionally clean with everything we needed for the long weekend. There is parking for 1 car right outside the door and additional parking very close. It is located next to the park and ride which is really handy. Communication with Jenny prior to our stay was really easy and she was kept us well informed when there was a small issue outside caused by the heavy rains (which did not impact our stay at all). We look forward to staying again. The only thing that would have made our stay more perfect would be if we could have brought our small dog but understand the reasons why many properties are not pet friendly. Many thanks

Fantastic stay
My husband,I and our two boys stayed here for three nights and had a fantastic time.The cottage is so lovely,its well equipped,newly renovated and just a stones throw away from Whitby,but in a rural location so in the evenings it's so quiet and peaceful.The cottage is fantastic the owners are lovely and very helpful,we will be booking again for next year.

Superb Style and Location
Ideal location for Whitby and the National Park. We stayed 3 nights in order to visit, Saltburn by the Sea, Sandsend, Whitby and Grosmont. Easy walk into Whitby, but the Park and Ride is 5 minutes away. The property is quiet, exclusive and faultless. John and Jayne.

A fantastic barn conversion
Fabulous conversion. Very comfortable beds. Lovely kitchen. Tv's in bedrooms were a real hit with the kids. Juliet balcony in the master bedroom was a great way to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Fabulous large communal garden, great for a game of footie after a day at the beach! Very welcoming owner. A lovely stay.
