The good: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Whitefish and is walkable to most amenities there. Parking is free at the hotel and adjacent to the building.
The bad: The front desk staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. Despite a global pandemic being in full swing, no one was wearing a mask or socially distancing - not the staff, and not patrons. The room was noisy from being on the ground floor next to a busy street. The bathroom was configured with frosted glass double doors that irritatingly flooded the rest of the room with bright light when anyone had to use the facilities, and there was no insulation from bathroom noises since the doors faced the bed. The room, despite being in a supposed four star facility, had no fridge, microwave, or extra pillows or blankets. When we asked for extra blankets (there weren't even any on the bed), housekeeping brought some that reeked strongly of something like burning tires, and the unbearable stench filled the room. We asked for new ones, and some which reeked a little less were quickly provided. The bath towels also had some of this unfortunate odor, and were scratchy and frayed. Under the edge of each bed it was easy to see considerable accumulations of dust and other debris, as if that part of the room had never been vacuumed. The lighting placement in the room was also poor, with a few overly harsh can lights, a few dim sconces, and little else. The TV was also very small. I will not be back.
