This hotel is in the Historic District and they maintained that look. The staff was kind and attentive. The convenience of fresh coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby is a plus. The rooms were clean and stocked. I found no complaints. I would definitely return.

We didn’t like the conditions of the room ,and in the night my daughters saw a cockroach in the room and the TV in the gym is way too old and it’s not working. The lady staff in the front desk is very friendly and very helpfu,very professional. Housekeepers are good.

We were assigned a handicap room but the drainage in the shower was terrible. The shower curtain was one of those for bathtubs, which bow out. The result was that a lot of water landed on the bathroom floor and unfortunately drained away into the rooms hallway. We had to use several towels to mop it up. For subsequent showers we had to put towels on the floor to soak up the water. Not a good situation considering that tile floors are very slippery when wet. This needs to be fixed.

Appliances in the room are dated and need to upgraded. Shower is mediocre and the room toilet seat needs replaced. Only one night stand, not enough sitting chairs. There was no dark roast coffee available in the lobby, they ran out of inventory the night we checked in. The Hampton Inn and Suites 1.3 miles away is much nicer.

The staff was very friendly but the room was dirty. There was something wrong with the shower. The temperature fluctuated frequently changing from hot to cold. There was a loud thumping sound when we were adjusting the temperature. There was also a large cockroach in the room.

We were booked for two adults (both in upper 70's). When we checked in at the desk, I asked how many chairs were in our room. I was told there was one, when I requested a second chair, I was told that wasn't possible. Not very considerate! Also, the commode ring wasn't secured tight & was an issue. This was the worst Hampton I've ever stayed at.
