Windermere Weekend
Just returned home from three nights at this lovely lodge. Located in a quiet part of a large site, it is well maintained and immaculately clean. We were blessed with excellent weather and as an added bonus got a display of the Northern Lights. Everything you need is at this lodge, just add food and some wine and you will have a great time. Would not hesitate to book again.

What an amazing lodge this is. Pros:- Very spacious. Clean. Everything you need in the kitchen. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Very spacious wraparound deck. WiFi excellent. Cons:- On a large holiday park. We had an amazing time here at this lodge. Directions to the lodge were spot on and access was easy. The lodge was very clean and huge. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and nicely furnished. The kitchen has everything you could need. The sitting room was large and comfortable with a large screen TV. The WiFi worked perfectly and we were able use our fire stick seamlessly. Mobile signal was also great. The only slight downside is it is on a large holiday park so the lodges are quite close together, when sitting on the decking you could hear others around you. However inside the lodge there was no noise at all. In all we couldn't fault this lodge it has everything you need and more, it is the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in.

Pre Christmas Break
We came away for our wedding anniversary and brought our daughter with us aswell who is 22. We just wanted to chill out, relax and unwind before the mayhem of christmas brings, and this fabulous lodge went above and beyond to deliver that. It is situated in woodland behind it and all you can hear is silence....apartbfrom birds and a lovely owl hooting despite others around you. The lodge was massive yet cozy and warm. Bedrooms were very spacious and bathrooms were fabulous. The bath is divine to relax in with some bubbles and a good book! Roger and Hazel were fab hosts and provided fab info and left a folder with notes and subtle decos for xmas. Fab hosts. Will defo be back. Fab park to be on too, small but has everything you need. Will defo be back.

Over all stay was nice. Cleanliness behind twin beds was not good making for an uncomfortable sleep. slight smell of dampness all round and signs of black mould in the main bedroom.

This property was absolutely stunning and we will definitely return in the future. The presentation of the lodge is beautiful. Inside has a cosy comfortable feel and is very spacious. Very clean and well kept lodge, the outdoor area is also excellent and very spacious. The hosts communication was fantastic. The site itself was a beautiful setting and the amenities were great. Entertainment for the children was excellent and the bar/food was great. Swimming pool was lovely (extra cost for passes at reception). Only a short drive into Windermere. Would definitely recommend this property, excellent value and would love to stay with you again in the future. Many thanks for a wonderful stay in the Lake District.

I stayed here with my parents and 2 year old daughter for 3 nights and it was perfect. Perfect lodge in a perfect location. I would highly recommend this property, it was clean with everything you needed, and the communication with owners was great and they were very helpful. I will definitely be returning in the future 🙂

Lodge by the lakes
A lovely lodge 2 bathrooms always handy tv's in both bedrooms as well as lounge everything you need in the kitchen and a dish washer. Table and chairs on deck so you can eat outsude. Right near the lakes lovely walks in all directions spa shop attached to petrol garage just up the road. Did'nt have to go far for anything.

Very good apart from a few minor cleansing issues.
Only minor thing was a few things such as bedding and kitchen towels had stains and marks on. Apart from this all was very good.

We really enjoyed our stay in the lodge. The communication with the owners was great - efficient and informative. The property was very clean, well equipped, warm, cosy. One thing to note, as the owner had warned us in advance, the internet connection isn't great. Thank you for a great stay.

Lovely lodge in Winderemere
Booked on line and was exactly as shown. Lodge was very spacious, clean, good facilities and heating on for arrival. Host kept in touch leading up to visit sending easy to follow instructions and interesting/helpful information on surrounding area on where to eat/walk/see. A great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and already looking forward to another trip.

Great location for exploring the Lakes
The lodge is brilliantly located to explore the Lake District. Most of the top spots to see are just a short drive away. The lodge itself is clean and comfortable and has a spacious open plan living area to relax in. The large decking area is also a nice spot for alfresco dining. However, the lodges are closely packed together in this holiday park, which is a shame. I hadn’t quite appreciated this from the description and photos. The kitchen is ‘well equipped’ as per the description, but the pans and bakeware are losing their non-stick coating. The lack of dishwasher wasn’t an issue as the cutlery, glasses and crockery were spotless. However, I presume you may be dependant on the cleaners to check all the kitchenware or else the previous guests to be good washer-uppers! Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It’s great as a base if you’re out all day exploring and want somewhere homely and comfortable to relax, eat and sleep.

Thank you Christina for your review. Yes, we are dependent on our cleaners to check a lot of things. We have anyway, decided to put in a dishwasher and a new cooker plus other items when the Park closes for 6 weeks at the beginning of next year. We continually replace crockery and ovenware as necessary. We will check the non-stick coating when we go up again in a few days time. Regards Roger & Hazel

Beautiful lodge
What a beautiful lodge! A real home from home, very modern and comfortable. All the mod cons and everything you could possibly need. The lodge is in a great location tucked away from the main paths which made for a very tranquil stay. Lovely large decking area and this lodge really stands out from others. Showers are fab and bedrooms very nice and comfortable. Highly recommended. We will be returning for sure.

the property was clean and modern it had everything you need we would go again but would take our own towels as they were stiff and hard we all found the mattresses to soft but sorted that problem by putting the spare quilts under as a topper all in all lovely place.

Beautiful Lodge in Lakes
Stayed here for a short family break to experience and explore the lakes. We were very pleased with our choice of accommodation - the lodge was absolutely beautiful, the pictures don't even do it justice. All mod cons, well kitted out, spotless and really nicely decorated - a real home from home and very cosy with the gas heating. It's in a fantastic location too, with site on banks of Windermere and handily placed for exploring the Lakes. The site itself is massive and has great facilities including pub/restaurant and pool for the kids. Would have loved to come here in height of summer and barbecue on the very spacious enclosed patio area, maybe next time. Roger, the host, was great and very friendly. He provided lots of good information unprompted including favourite walks which we tried and thoroughly enjoyed. If you're coming to the Lake District I would highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed!

Lovely cabin in a very nice holiday park. Very clean and well appointed with very nice interior which had everything you need for a nice stay. Beds were lovely and comfortable. Excellent communication with the owners throughout booking process. Located between Ambleside and Windermere with few walks straight out of holiday park. On site shop is expensive as expected but a spar just round the corner. WiFi in cabin and around the park was limited which owners informed us of, but not an issue as we were out most of the day. Would definitely recommend and we would definitely stay again

From the ease of booking to helpful advice from the owners, our experience has been totally positive throughout. The property is set in an idyllic woodland environment, with other similar properties a respectful distance apart. Enjoyed our stay in Lake District very much.
The property was a great choice, central to the four beautiful communities we visited - Windermere, Bowness on the Lake, Ambleside & Grasmere. The first two were a good walk and all were accessible by the Lakes Bus system or Taxi. Walks in the area were numerous & diverse. We would not hesitate to stay with Hazel & Roger next time we are in the area.

I have been to white cross bay many times, it is perfectly located between Ambleside and Windermere. It is always a peaceful place to stay. Wonderful stay and great value!
We loved staying here! The lodge was much more spacious than we had expected, and the outdoor area was excellent. The deck was entirely enclosed with a glass fence too, so no worries with small children. Very comfy beds, and all very well equipped with kitchen utensils, books, toys, walking guides... A v short bike ride from the edge of the lake, and lots of activities going on at the waterfront. Also very walkable to Brockhole where there are high ropes, archery etc, and from where you can catch the ferry to other parts of Windermere. About a 20 min bike ride to Bowness, so really easy to do everything without a car. We loved it and hope to be back soon!
