The tower of this church in the Frisian town of Sneek can be only visited once a year, during Open Monuments Day. Interesting to know, that the tower and the carillon inside doesn't belong to the church, but to the city council.
This is the Water Gate of Sneek on a late summer day, during Open Monuments Day, the only time you can visit inside. The gate was part of a defensive wall built in the 15th and 16th century connecting the city to a waterway.

Location is fantastic - but you get the keys and breakfast at a different location. Building is really old but very authentic - though a bit cold in the room. Lovely breakfast though and staff were very nice.

Just ok
Smelled like somone was smoking inside just before we got there. Blankets had obvious stains on them. Double bed was 2 nylon covered mattresses pushed together. Made for a very uncomfortable night.
