“Staff at the property were lovely! You sort of get what you pay for, it’s nice they’ve made the effort to modernise the property but you can tell it’s still a little worn. But as mentioned you get what you pay for. One down side was the water ran really low on our last night, only to wake up the following morning with the toilet not flushing and no water coming out of any taps. I had to use a water bottle to get water out of the pool so the toilet would flush. ”

“Breakfast is toast, orange juice and coffee. Not a full meal but a snack to get started. Great fridge. Wifi was good. Nice pool and warm. ”

“The location and views of this property are absolutely amazing, as the hotel sits on a 20 foot cliff Oceanside so you have constant breezes. You can climb down the rocks and get in the ocean and if it’s not too windy, you can get in the water as it is a rocky area. Online pics are likely old when the previous owner was operating it, it has substantial wear and tear and needs some love:) Shared kitchen is ill equipped, we bought a coffee maker for our large group of 10. The AC seemed to work……

“Villa Elena lives up to all the 5 star reviews it receives. Value for the money, cleanliness, staff, comfortable bed, A/C etc. etc. If there's another or better place at this price point I'd love to know. If I'm ever back in Isla Mujeres, I'll be definitely staying here. ”
