Really expected too much with this hotel rating and reviews. Ugh. Had a Celebration of Life in Madera and it was 100* We chose to stay nearby and visit Table Mtn & Chukchansi casinos the next day. It’s a 3+ hour drive from Cit Hts for us. At check-in front desk staff told us we had a bungalow away from everyone & so no noise from an upper floor (2 flr only). Pool was not close but ok… then as we brought luggage to room 345, five 20-something boy/men were standing in the hallway (also going in their room?). Huge red flag immediately- “no noise”? And right next to OUR room! Got in our room- spacious but dark. Floors not swept but vanity lighting good (never happens). Plenty of counter space in bath but fridge is very “mini” and freezer slot is a frozen block of ice. Wall behind toilet is peeling paint and we never used the shower. Wanted ice but couldn’t find. Called front desk & told us only “1” location by pool (?) & needed key to access (sounds like a homeless issue steeling ice?). Pool not close so ice far also. AC unit stayed “on” for white noise (yay!) but had an awful noise like a paper bag blowing in the wind. Terribly annoying! The “boys” never made a peep (wth? But yay!). Bldg doors never locked even tho they had a card key lock. Didn’t feel safe. Tile hallways were loud & slippery when wet. Free Breakfast was fair. Ned was ok. Definitely won’t be back even with the good $103 Expedia price. Staff was curteous.

It's my favorite place to stay anytime of year.

Everything. The welcoming treatment from the staff, to our own personal cabin which was super clean! Nice pool, the camp fires at night and free smores to make. The restaurants had great food. The property has a gorgeous Creek behind it with a walking trail. Plus it’s only a 7 minute drive to Yosemite Entrance! Plus pet friendly. We loved it and I can’t say enough of what a great stay it was. Would rate it a 12 if I could. I will be back for sure. And I Highly recommend!
