One of a kind hide-a-way on the Neuse River. Picture perfect Fishermans paradise with plenty of room for two families to share. Professionally decorated and appointed with everything you could ever want for a beachy fun vacation. With 200+ feet of sandy beach shoreline on the Neuse River, your family and friends will have plenty of space to run and play. Off the 300 foot dock, you will find some of the best fishing, shrimping and crabbing in the area.
The house will sleep up to 11 people in the main house and the carriage house. For rental of both parts of the property, you will have to indicate you have more than 5 guests. See rates below...

Downstairs in the main house you will find a family room complete with Wifi TV that allows guests to access Netflix, Amazon Prime video as well as other networks, a DVD player with LOTS of videos stocked to chose from and a gas fireplace to snuggle around.
The fully stocked kitchen showcases quaint touches such as wooden countertops, white cabinetry, a coffee station with a Keurig, a French Press and a electric kettle, a complete appliance package—gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker. Additionally we have all the comforts of home such as a blender, crockpot, toaster, waffle maker, stand mixer and even an air fryer.
Also on the main floor are a laundry room, two piece bath and a master bedroom with a king bed and large en suite with soaker tub.

Upstairs you will find another lock off bedroom with a queen bed, as well as a large separate living area featuring a daybed that makes the space perfect for a family to share. A bathroom with a claw foot tub, a large Wifi TV with both a Play Station 4 and Classic. Do note that the internet in our area is not the fastest or best. We have chosen the best that is available to us and the largest data package they offer, but it is Satellite internet and it does not provide extremely fast responsive speeds for streaming lots of videos or online gaming, just want to make sure not to disappoint the kiddos!!!!

Upstairs in the detached carriage house, you will find one large sleeping quarters with sweeping river views and fabulous sunrises. This spaces allows for accommodations for up to 6 more guests on a queen bed, two twin beds and a pull out queen sleeper sofa.
Additionally there is another large Wifi TV and a bathroom with a shower.

There are two parts to the property. The main house and the carriage house.
If you have more than 5 guests you will need to reserve both parts. There are no exceptions to this.

The main house rental rates:
Accommodates up to 5 guests
$190-225 in off season (October through April, excluding Holidays and events)
$225-375 in season (May through October, excluding Holidays and events)
$285-550 for Holidays and special area events

The carriage house can be added for an additional $150 during the winter ( October to March ) $225 during season ( March -September) per night fee.

Beautiful, Remote Property
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend away at Fisher’s point. The cottage was beautifully decorated and surrounded by gorgeous landscapes. We loved how remote and private the property was, which allowed for a super relaxing vacation. The kids enjoyed all the wildlife that nature had to offer and fishing from the beach area. The house had a fully stocked kitchen and everything we needed to feel at home! Thank you for sharing your amazing piece of paradise with our family!

We were very pleased for the most part. The only “complaint” we had was that there was limited supplies. We ended up having to buy our own shampoo/dish rag (I like to wipe the counters down and didn’t want to use paper towel all the time) but it wasn’t that big of a deal. The house had all other amenities and very comfortable furnishings. Communication with owners was easy.

A Quiet Retreat
What a charming beach cottage! My three children actually disconnected from everything for a few days and got lost in UNO battles and good books. It was exactly what we needed. Absolute Perfection!
I can't say enough good things about this home, it is magnificent! The location, the house itself. Fully equipped with EVEYTHING! We had a horrible storm one of the days, and just stayed inside with 2 kids and it was so cosy and fun! Easy check-in. This was one of the best vacation rentals we have stayed in and we've been at some beautiful places, already planning to return!!!

Wow…could have stayed here a month
This property was amazing and beautiful and over flowing with wild life and nature. We caught lizards, frogs, crabs and saw all sorts of birds and snakes. The house was very comfortable, we loved the fire Pitt, big tub and used the big deck, pier and beach all day everyday. We had to seriously debate if we wanted to leave the property to sight see but glad that we did. The only thing that is good to know for out of towners is that they don’t have any beach bags, beach towels, coolers or travel beach umbrellas. Since we flew to get here and planned to sight see some local beaches it was an issue for us. But we still wouldn’t think twice about staying here again. We’re so grateful to have gotten to experience this place.

Amazing vacation!
The property was well maintained and very clean. We wanted a quiet, low key location on the water and we got exactly what we wanted! The home is beautifully decorated and super comfortable with a wonderful view of the river. Just close enough to Oriental to make a quick coffee or grocery run. I highly recommend this location, we will book again!

Serene Tranquil Beauty
My wife and I travel frequently throughout the United States and occasionally to other countries. Of the many places we have stayed this picturesque gem may be our favorite. Never before have we been so content to just relax and enjoy the quiet solitude of our surroundings. Sitting on the back porch listening to the soothing sounds of the river while watching the nesting Ospreys was especially joyful. From beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the river to being serenaded by the croaking frogs at night this well appointed paradise checks every box. We couldn't have enjoyed our time here more!

Perfect family get away
This was our first time using VRBO and booking our stay at Fisher Point Cottage on the Nuese River. Everything about this cottage was magical. The inside decor was so charming and clean. You really don't need to bring anything from home other than clothing and food, they have everything there for you to use. They graciously allow you to use their kayaks and paddle boards that are there. We were fortunate enough to see dolphins from the porch in the river and manta rays when we used the paddle boards. It is extremely private. There is a great fire pit with provided firewood for your use. Little salamanders were everywhere, and at night mini frogs would greet you by sticking on the windows. It was such a great experience for my boys who are 11 and 12. I couldn't be happier with how this vacation went. There isn't a single thing I can complain about or suggest they to do differently. I'm very grateful for all the memories we made there. Thank you!

3 generations of our family agree: Amazing place!
We rented both the Cottage & the Carriage House, gathering 3 generations of family members from age 8 to age 88, and everyone agreed we ALL want to come back to Fisher Point Cottage! The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable inside & out. Our favorite part was watching all the wildlife in the marsh & river -- SO many animals to observe! Plus, the property was well located for fun day trips in all 4 directions: We enjoyed digging at the Aurora Fossil Museum (North), touring Tryon Palace in New Bern (West), riding the car ferry to visit the Maritime Museum in Beaufort (South), and swimming & sailing in Oriental (East). So while one might imagine this is a remote location, it is still near many great activity destinations within a 30-minute drive. Homeowner Stacy was very responsive and easy to coordinate with. We HIGHLY recommend this family-friendly get-away!

What an incredible Serene setting here at the Fisher Point Cottage... If you are looking for relaxation in an incredible setting then you have found it here. Stacy has created an outstanding home here on the river that won't disappoint you.. From the great sunrises over the river to the sounds of the waves lapping against the shoreline.... This home can't be beat.. We have stayed in rental properties all over the country and this would have to rate right at the top... Great furnishings, comfortable beds and everything you could possibly want to just RELAX..!!

What a wonderful home! I can’t imagine what Stacy could do to make this home any more enjoyable. It’s situated right on the Neuse river. It’s incredibly private and sits on well appointed has several sitting areas. Whether it’s the back porch, the fire pit area or the dock, the river is right in front of you. The house is decorated as if it’s right out of Home and Garden. The kitchen has every utensil and kitchen aid you could imagine. Beds were comfortable and the house was incredibly clean. We plan to return again!!

2 Weeks Of Pure R-E-L-A-X-A-T-I-O-N!!!!!! Sept.8 thru22 2022
Lucky for my husband and I, we were able to stay for 2 weeks, because after only 1 HOUR, we wanted to LIVE HERE! We were dreaming about this place for 2 years, and NOTHING disappointed us!! The house is awesome, with such a beautiful decor and sparkling clean! The adorable window seat upstairs that looks over the river was a perfect place to read. We were up each morning to watch the unbelievably stunning sunrises! After that, we would take our early morning walk all the way down the road past the cow farm and back and through the quiet neighborhood. We spent most of our 2 weeks at this peaceful retreat. We saw osprey, a blue heron, dolphins, butterflies, cute little geckos and baby frogs! One morning on our way out to sit on the dock, we saw otters on the bank! So cool!!! We've never seen them! After dinner at night, sitting on the dock with our favorite drink & watching the sun go down, we would plan which part of the property we would relax in the next day! We are already planning our next vacation here! Thank you Stacy!

Perfect relaxing location
House was beautiful, clean with calm light tones, great comfortable beds and bedding. Dock was fantastic we went out early every morning for the kids to catch fish and us to have coffee by the early morning light, after dark we drank wine and listened to the water there. Two nights we had friends and family over for dinner and with the grill and outdoor seating 10-12 people were easily accommodated. Trees blocked out the neighbors and the little beach area was just enough for building sand creations and skipping stones. Perfect, relaxing location and house!

The perfect getaway…
Our family was looking for a last-minute getaway before our youngest headed back to school. Fisher’s Point provided exactly that. The property is incredibly beautiful with impeccable interior design. This place boasts spacious rooms, modern and bright decor, incredibly comfortable furniture, and the most beautiful nature scenes in the backyard… including a pier, a private little beach, and chairs set up on the dock overlooking the river. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, we arrived to the most thoughtful gift basket AND the biggest brightest rainbow over the river that I have ever seen. We highly recommend this place. Perfect home away from home. Last but not least, the owner is very attentive and will work diligently to problem solve any concern you might have. Very professional and hospitable.

Peaceful Get-Away
We enjoyed our stay in this cottage with our family of 5! Lots of wildlife to observe, dinners on the back porch, fishing out on the dock and playing games! Took the ferry a couple of days to spend some time at the Fort Macon State Park and beach as well.
