At DuPont Forest - Newer cabin designed for relaxation and comfort.

Shoal Sound is located on DuPont Road with easy access to the miles of trails and breathtaking waterfalls of DuPont Forest. We are only 10 miles from downtown Brevard and Hendersonville. The cabin offers all you could need to relax or rest after a day of adventure. We have WIFI, satellite TV, comfortable beds and a large porch to just sit and relax

Bedroom one has a king size bed with a comfortable mattress and linens, satellite TV, Grandmas wardrobe closet, and an antique dresser. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and has a walk in shower.

Bedroom two has a twin trundle bed with comfortable mattresses and linens. The second bathroom is just outside the door.

The living and dining area features a gas log fireplace, large entertainment center containing games, books, DVD player and a large TV with satellite access.

The kitchen has all the features you would want and expect have to make your stay like being at home. All appliances are new - large refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, farm sink, granite counter tops, coffee maker, Keurig, and microwave. If something is missing, let us know, and we'll get it. We spared no expense to create a beautiful kitchen for you to enjoy.

The porches are sure to be a favorite of guests. Listen to the sound of Shoal Falls from the swing or rockers. We even put a dining table on the porch for you to enjoy the surroundings. A small porch off the back has a small table and a park style charcoal grill.

Wonderful Getaway!
My husband and I were looking for a place to get away for a couple of days, and we found it here in Penrose, NC. Connie & David's cabin was clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed. A lovely cabin
We really enjoyed our stay! It is a lovely cabin inside and out in a quiet peaceful setting. It was a treat to sit on the porch listening to the waterfall across the way while a rabbit stopped by in welcome. Its roominess and decor encouraged us to spend time relaxing. We were delighted to be so near to waterfalls and vistas in the nearby parks both in NC and SC.

Cute little getaway in the mountains! We really enjoyed the fire pit and grill and the short distance to the hiking trails. Relaxing and comfortable. Enjoyed listening to the rush of water in the background as we sat on the porch. It was also a short distance to the shopping centers in Brevard and Hendersonville. Would definitely return!

Lovely Canin!
We’re so glad we found this cabin in this beautiful area of our country! It is clean, private and had just about everything one could need during your stay. It is convenient to Pretty Place Chapel, the town of Brevard where there are many quaint shops and some great restaurants (Square Root=favorite) and many scenic hiking/waterfall areas. It was a treat to relax in such a peaceful place. We hope to be back again!

A Wonderful stay
We were suprised by this cozy little cabin. It's tucked away, out of site from the public. There is a waterfall near by that is pleasant to listen to while one relaxes on the patio and during the night when it's time for bed. I was even able to spread out and star gaze. There was no sly pollution, so I had a clear view of the night sky. The interior was well done and clean when we arrived. We didn't use the fire place, but it was nice to just admire. It felt like a place one would want to call home. I'm so glad we picked this property. I'd like to stay again, the next time I visit the area.

Just an incredible place to stay if you're planning on hiking/biking adventures in Dupont and Pisgah
Firstly, location, location, location. We selected this place based on it's proximity to Dupont as we had planned a family mtb outing. This gorgeous cabin served that purpose and then some. Very warm and well outfitted place from the kitchen to the laundry facilities to the incredible porch and views. We'll definitely be back.

A piece of Heaven!
The cabin was the perfect mini getaway to celebrate my husband’s birthday! The cabin was super clean, the bed and seating were very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need! The mornings were my favorite watching the day break, coffee in hand reading devotionals while listening to the sound of rushing water. The area is so beautiful and so close to waterfalls at DuPont park! Connie and her husband were so accommodating and wonderful hosts! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and charming. I appreciated that there were lots of different hiking options just minutes away down the road, Ceasar's Head state park is a 15-20 minute drive, as were good restaurant options in Brevard. Also really loved the gas fireplace, the porch, and that we had everything we needed to cook dinner.

We just love this property and the owners!! The home is absolutely lovely with any amenity you could possibly need. So clean with so many adorable details!
