We stayed for one night in a room above the pub. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Sky TV was a bonus. The bathroom was roomy, clean and with a good shower. Breakfast was great and we had good food and great service at dinner.

A fantastic find!
We had a wonderful time, the first night of our journey up to Inverness, where we embarked on the NC500. Our welcome couldn’t have been more warm, our hosts were friendly, accommodating and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Our miniature schnauzer Martha was made to feel particularly welcome and I’d certainly recommend a stay here if you’re travelling with a dog.

This is the second time we have stayed and it is such an excellent find. Forget the premier Inn and go for the Smiddy its absolutely brilliant.

We immediately wished we could stay more than one night here. The food is great and the little Beer Garden in back was so lovely. We had a great time talking with the locals in the Pub as well.

Staying at The Smiddy Haugh is like going to family or friends with a fabulous pub and amazing food. The owners, Nicky and Rich, couldn't do enough for us. We loved everything about the place, the people and the big pooch, Jasper 😊 An amazing find.

I had a lovely 2 nights. Chose as dog friendly and all staff made us feel so welcome. They genuinely welcome dogs here! A lovely cozy inn-type stay where you are made to feel so welcome. This was obvious speaking with other guests too.

Booked for 2 nights but just stayed for 1 Hotel is not in Auchterrarder as stated on their website.Would not refund for 2nd night. Bar and beergarden only good points Very limited menu and very basic breakfast. Overal decor is very dated could do with a refurb Very pricey for a TWO STAR

A little gem
The owners have recently taken on this business and their efforts will surely pay dividends for them. bedroom and bathroom were spotless as was the whole establishment. menu is limited but interesting. Staff eager to be welcoming. As a coeliac delighted that on checking in this was acknowledged. I had a gluten free breakfast order form and every effort had been made to ensure all food eaten was gluten free. Really delighted with this thoughtful preparation. Would recommend this property. building too has a history as does the village. great place.

An old inn with plenty of character situated in a quiet village but near great road links. The proprietors are lovely and very welcoming and nothing seemed too much travel. We came with a very small dog and they were very accommodating. A great pet friendly place. Wonderful home cooking too!

The owners are so helpful and accommodating. Stayed a few times now and never disappointed. First class breakfast too. Has a rustic charm, definately worth the money.
