Bab Ftouh had an important defensive role during its time. Now a historic site, you can only imagine some of the scenes its mighty walls have witnessed.
You'll be spoiled for sightseeing choice when spending time in Quartier Des Potiers. Bab Ftouh is a good place to start here, but there are numerous other interesting places to explore. Tombs of the Merenides, Medersa Bou-Inania and Blue Gate are close to the history-filled fortress and will fill in your day nicely.
