Lovely hotel with very nice staff

What a pleasant surprise to visit the hotel! We booked a family house which was very recently renovated. Two floors and plenty of space for us. EV charger for electric cars and great breakfast. Would love to come back.

We loved this hidden gem. Property grounds were beautiful with the kindest staff. Apartment was perfect but bedrooms are all upstairs if you have mobility issues. There is small couch downstairs. Buffet breakfast was very good.

ich konnte die steile Treppe zumj Appartment nicht überwinden nach meiner Hüft OP. Die Hotelmanagerin, Frau Wilson, war unglaublich freundlich und entgegen kommend. Wir bekamen 2 Zimmer mit Verbindungstür im Herrenhaus. Die Zimmer waren groß, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Bad ein Traum. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es, weil die Matratzen arg durchgelegen waren, was wir beim Check Out gesagt haben. Uns wurde versprochen, es würde für Abhilfe gesorgt. Das British Flair Event war nicht so unser Fall, alles sehr, sehr teuer. Aber egal, wo wir waren, das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Am Abend durften wir uns mir unserer Freundin ins Kaminzimmer im Herrenhaus setzen und genossen die Ruhe und die ungestörte Unterhaltung. Wir können das Gut Basthorst deshalb nur empfehlen. Besonders der Kuchen war hervorragend. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet für 16,90 € punktete mit Frische und war liebevoll aufgebaut und dekoriert. Wer dorthin fährt, sollte gutes Schuhwerk einpacken. Die mit Kopfstein gepflasterten Wege waren für uns als Senioren eine Herausforderung.

Very cozy and comfortable countryside hotel.

This place was so relaxing and comfortable for the one night stay we did. The resturant was amazing and the only issue we had was some loud guests late night especially as this is a very quite and calm place.

En perle lidt Øst for Hamborg på vej mod Østrig. Virkeligt et hyggeligt og overraskende stort sted, nemt at finde og perfekt hvis man er en stor familie. Vi ville ønske vi havde haft lidt mere tid til at udforske/udnytte området.

Dejligt sted i rolige omgivelser, fin morgenmad men ikke ekstraordinær. Største ulempe var der var mange fluer på stedet også ved morgenmaden men svært at undgå når man ligger mellem marker og andet.

Vilket mysigt ställe! Nu var vi bara på genomresa på väg hem, så bokade i bilen. Och vilken lyckoträff! Vi hade gärna stannat fler nätter. Vi blev sena, men kontaktade boendet att vi nog skulle komma efter 21, vilket löstes utan problem. Huset var inte bara stort, fräscht och väldigt bekvämt, utan även över förväntan. Hit måste vi igen!

Hadde en natt med familien. Koselig plass med hyggelige ansatte. God service og god mat. Nydelige frokost. Veldig koselig plass og trivelig uteområde. Vi reiste med våre to barn på 9 og 3 år. Vi savnet litt mer fasiliteter for barna. Kanskje en lekeplass eller noe i den duren. Litt dårlig utvalg for barna ift meny. Vi savnet noe pizza/pasta for barna. Men alt i alt, en kjempe fin plass!

Die Unterkunft war sauber, das Personal freundlich. Als E-Autofahrer ist man, insbesondere in "The Middle of Nowhere" auf eine Ladestation angewiesen. Damit wirbt auch das Gut Basthorst. Es gab keinerlei Informationen, weder an den Wallboxen noch beim Personal der Unterkunft. Die Ladezeit für 26,37 kWh betrug 12 Stunden und die Kosten (ohne Überziehungsgebühren!) waren 27,89 EUR. Das ist Abzocke! Ein anderes Manko war das Restaurant, die Speisekarte war sehr übersichtlich; 5 oder 6 Gerichte. Da erwarte ich Frische und Qualität und, dass der Koch diese Speisen einwandfrei zubereiten kann. Das Steak wurde medium well bestellt und kam medium rare an. Bei der Currywurst wurde am 2. Tage gebeten, diese in der Pfanne zu braten. Der Wunsch wurde ignoriert und sie wurde wieder frittiert und das bei einem stolzen Preis von beinahe 16 EUR. Obwohl es beim Frühstück gekochten Schinken gibt, war man am Abend nicht imstande bei einem Gericht den Rohschinken mit gekochtem Schinken auszutauschen. Das Frühstück wird in einer anderen Küche zubereitet. Das Dressing vom Salat war alla Knorr oder Maggie, jedoch nicht selbst zubereitet. Kurzum das Restaurant ist nicht empfehlenswert. Die Kritik wurde vom Kellner zur Kenntnis genommen und als "Wiedergutmachung" bekamen wir zwei Getränke aufs Haus. Das möchte ich nicht unerwähnt lassen. Zum Schluss noch das: Das kostenlose WLAN ist nach christlichen/kirchlichen Kriterien eingeschränkt, da die Besitzer auch im Vorstand der örtlichen Kirche sind.

Zu teuer für zu wenig. Frühstück sollte für den Preis inklusive und Sauberkeit eine Selbstverständlichkeit sein. Babybett im Erdgeschoss unter der Treppe, obwohl sich die Schlafzimmer oben befinden (ein Zimmer mit 1,20m -Matratze und ein Durchgangszimmer), was unpraktisch ist. „Küche“ und Wohnbereich selbst für 4 Personen ein Witz, es können nur zwei auf dem Sofa sitzen, die anderen auf normalen Stühlen ohne Blick auf den TV, obwohl nach Bettanzahl 6 Leute übernachten könnten. Babybett war nicht mit Bettwäsche bezogen. Insgesamt war es also für eine Nacht mittelmäßig, obwohl die Räumlichkeiten durchaus Potential haben. Unten die Küche vergrößern und das Wohnzimmer hoch in das Durchgangszimmer. Dann kann man zwar nur Geld für vier verdienen, aber die haben angemessen Platz.

War ein schöner Aufenthalt für eine Nacht, mit Potenzial nach oben. Bett knarrte bei jeder kleinen Bewegung, kleiner Kühlschrank stand im Bad!? Meine Schwester hatte eine Mitarbeiterin der Rezeption am Morgen des Anreisetages informiert, dass wir unseren Hochzeitstag auf dem Gut verbringen würden. Ihr wurde gesagt, dass es für eine Aufmerksamkeit zu kurzfristig sei. Finde ich nicht sehr flexibel, außerdem hatten wir erst einen Tag vorher gebucht.
