“The cabin is very small and extremely rustic. It is better suited as a basic hunting cabin than a comfortable overnight getaway. There is no shower, only an outhouse-type toilet facility, and the sleeping arrangements consist of only thin foam mattresses, which offer very little comfort. While it may work for someone looking for a very primitive place to stay while hunting or spending time outdoors, it does not provide the basic amenities or comfort most guests would expect from a cabin rental.……

“Great place in a beautiful part of the country! Super quiet, well furnished, and a lovel place to spend some time. Hot tub was great and there's a small creek a few minutes away to catch crawfish and cool off. Highly recommended.”

“Cozy cabin in the woods with my hubby and dogs! Family friendly and cozy!”

“Just an overnight stay. On our way back home from northern New York. The place was nice. It is peaceful sitting on the deck. The check in process was a little tedious with various emails and downloads required. The Backstep is a little sketchy. Be careful walking in. Overall the place was nice”

“The apt needs a go over, many small things:Walls need painting and are dingy Kitchen cupboards dirty insideLockbox is finicky to open and close, need to pull the door tight to get the lock to work. Toilet paper holder brokenShower pressure very weak2nd bedroom cluttered with shelving and too many lites on at oncePatio nice but cluttered with unusable things and pots with dead or non existent plantsSorry, not really happy with it.”

“It was an enjoyable stay. Standard cabin in the hills. Unfortunate that I was asked to take the trash up the driveway when we got in after 20:00. Been so long since the trip, I forget if it was two or three full cans. We only made 1 bag of refuse. Check in was simple. Top key box had two, bottom had none; went to the bottom one first. Some cabinet doors were off of their hinges. The door handles to the sliding doors were loose or missing hardware. The white, wooden rocking chair was broken.……

“The property was absolutely wonderful! We have a great time. It was clean, comfortable, and we really enjoyed all of the amenities that were on site! Area was secluded, nice and quiet. The little snacks on the coffee bar and everything else were a very kind gesture. Host was very communicative and responds promptly. Very kind and hospitable! We really appreciated the last minute request I had made of bringing one more person and our dog! Looking forward to staying again sometime! Thank you all……

“It was refreshing to have a standalone cabin with hot tub ! Nespresso Machine included , what a surprise .”

“I hate giving negative reviews, however.... Upon arrival, access was very easy. The owner/ property manager provided clear and concise information. The property was easy to access, but definitely use a 4 wheel vehicle. However, the online photos of the property are deceptive. The cabin is not as rural as one would think. The building has much more wear than depicted. The deck is high above the ground and the boards are warped with openings. It did not feel safe. The gutters had plants……

“Check-in went smoothly and good communication from the host. Inside the cabin was clean for the most part and relaxing. The master bed was saggy in the middle, but I brought to thier attention so hopefully they fix it. The outside pictures didn't match the photos. The cabin definitely could used some TLC. The grass needed mowed, but it was very peaceful. We seen some wildlife and the neighborhood was quite. It was probably 15 minutes from dollar general and 30 minutes from anything else. All and……

“This cabin is so nicely decorated and a lot of thought was put into making sure we had everything we could want. Lots of extra blankets to cozy up by the fire, or read a book and enjoy the woods out on the deck. All the spices to add flavor to our meals, plus other staples like sugar and flour. Bed linens that were soft and warm (tons of pillows of every size and density), thick towels and make-up wipes. There’s even a bidet for those who are looking for that next level. Several games and lots……

“Had a great time, place was clean. The hot tub was clean, beautiful views the heating and air air-conditioning all worked great. The bed upstairs is a little uncomfortable. The cabin was stocked with pretty much everything we needed with paper towel towels, soap, towel, towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The deck view was spectacular. Didn’t get to use the fire pit, but it was very nice definitely would rent again.”

“A beautiful spot in a very nice community! We loved having such a nice view of the lake in front of the house. Very quiet and peaceful and the hot tub was great! The area rugs had quite a few crumbs near the couch and the dining table, as the roomba vacuum did not seem to do the job on the rug areas. The wood floors were very clean though! I ended up vacuuming myself on the first night with the regular vacuum in the cabinet by the door. We had some issues with the TV in the living room as well……

“Great”

“Great stay. Older property but is spruced up just right for a nice woodland retreat. Stayed as couple but could easily accommodate two more. Hot tub works excellent. Reasonably secluded location but there are other residences close by.”

“This was the perfect stay! Would definitely stay again sometime!”

“The retreat was , what can I say???? AHHHMAZING!! We absolutely loved everything . King sized bed. Decor was adorable and clean, clean, clean. Wood fired hot tub...what a cool concept. Michael, our host was more than accommodating to all our needs and responded to all questions in a timely manner. Although, we didn't bring our four-legged pooch, Stella was nice to know the entire retreat in Pup friendly. We will be back again and more than likely bring friends and family. A.must visit!!!”

“Spectacular view, takes a little to get there on a back road but it’s worth it! Host is very responsive”
