Van der Valk Plaza Beach & Dive Resort Bonaire - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"We had a truly wonderful time at the Plaza. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautiful the hotel grounds were—the pools were sparkling and inviting, and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere that made every meal feel special. There was some construction happening during our stay, but it was managed very well and never disrupted our relaxation or enjoyment.
The food was consistently good, and even though the property has only one restaurant, the menu offered enough variety to keep every meal interesting. We were pleasantly surprised by the different options available each day.
Overall, our stay was incredibly relaxing. We felt well taken care of, enjoyed the peaceful environment, and left feeling refreshed. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway."
"The hotel is amazing. We had the penthouse with unobstructed views of the ocean. The apartment was very clean and well organized for a perfect vacation. If you stay less than 8 days, they only provide cleaning for an additional fee, however the apartment had everything needed for guests to clean up after themselves. The hotel provides toilet paper and garbage bags, you need to buy everything else so keep that in mind. The hotel is located only 3 min from the airport and about 5 min from all grocery shopping. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a dive shop on premises so if you plan to scuba dive, this is extremely convenient. The hotel has covered parking ( providing some shade) however parking there was not available to we had to find parking on the street. Right in front of the hotel is the road so the only disadvantage if you are facing the ocean was the noise from the street. The food at the restaurant was ok, nothing special. We were 5 people, including my kids and the penthouse was absolutely perfect for us. The hotel is close to many dive sites, donkey sanctuary, many restaurants and stores."
"From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at this property was exceptional. When the check-in lady learned that my suitcase had been delayed by a day, she truly went above and beyond—offering us a drink and even helping me find some toothpaste, Her kindness set the tone for the entire stay. The property itself was spotless, kitted out with care and attention. The apartments layout and facilities were modern and tastefully decorated. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, from the front desk to the team at the on-site Wannadive Concern, who made our diving experience both safe and unforgettable.
We felt completely relaxed throughout our stay and left with beautiful memories of an amazing holiday. This place exceeded all expectations, and we’ll definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended!"
