"This property is gorgeous, and the staff is fantastic. The free breakfast (which you can also do as room service) was such a nice perk - I will miss the daily fresh-squeezed starfruit juice. We had a fantastic couples massage. I loved that there were several little spaces on the property where you could hang out away from your room. It is a little off the beaten path, but walkable to all of the restaurants and shops. We had a great stay."

"We stayed for a week at the Umami Hotel and it was wonderful. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and offered helpful suggestions. We loved our time in Puerto Viejo and at this hotel. We ate breakfast at Umami everyday and they served good-size portions of high quality food. There are many great staff members at the hotel, but I’d like to specifically recognize Ramundo, Tony, and Rodney for making our stay extra special. "This hotel is incredible. Beautifully designed pool and restaurant/bar area with beautiful lighting at night. Impeccably clean with incredibly attentive staff. Very close to the beach as well, which itself is very quiet. We had an absolutely amazing stay and I wish we could have stayed more days. Everything feels very luxury about the place... definitely stay here if you have the chance!"

"The property was very much like you're in nature. There were many wild life on the grounds. I saw a beautiful toucan up close and personal. The beach was nice and clean. I will definitely be staying there again."

"The pool was large and wonderful with many deaths for adults as well as kids. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Service was top notch, especially Diego on the front desk. The property is about 5 years old but looks brand new. Landscaping us mature and beautiful. My only recommendations would be to offer a larger selection with the "breakfast included" and put lamps on bedside tables and the desk. We stayed in a Jr Suite. We plan to stay there again."
