"This hotel is a little oasis from the hustle of town. We had a beautiful view of the mountain and the three main palaces. Breakfast was plentiful and delivered by basket to our room at our chosen time. Parking was included which was a selling point as parking in Sintra is very limited. Town is only a 5-10 minute walk away, but it is up an extremely steep hill. Not easy for anyone out of shape or with mobility issues. Walls between rooms are a little thin, but a fairly quiet stay! We would definitely stay here again. "

"Truly one of the best stays we have experienced abroad. Casa da Rampa is stocked with beautiful art and personal touches, it’s easy to see that this house has been loved and well-cared for. It was plenty big for our two families (4 adults, 5 children). The kids loved swimming and feeding the chickens and exploring the gardens. The adults enjoyed eating dinner on the outdoor patio and lounging by the pool. It’s a very convenient stay for everything to see in Sintra. Also a short drive to the beautiful coastline and most western point of continental Europe. The kitchen was decently stocked and it was so helpful to have the washer/dryer. Sometimes if multiple people were showering the water wouldn’t stay hot, but taking turns worked great. There were thorough instructions in the house on how to use everything. The only bummer was that the historic tram wasn’t running while we were there. But we did see it come by one time as the workers were clearing the track for the season. Such a magical experience! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!"
"You could not pick a more perfect spot for a family vacation in Colares. Our family enjoyed hours at the pool, trips to the beach, Sintra and Cascais, not to mention the fun spots for dinner and drinks. Jose was a gracious host who met us when we first arrived. He made sure we had everything we needed. Walk to town, grocery in walking distance, and plenty of space for all 7 of us."

"We chose the Barca Charm House for its location, family friendliness and wonderful reviews. Each review referred to the hospitality of our hosts and I have to agree with previous reviewers, Sandra and Eduardo were exceptional. The house is comfortable and fully equipped. There was everything you could possibly need and so much more. The only item we were unable to bring with us was a potty for our 2 year old. Sandra was immediately on the case and brought a brand new potty round which was so helpful! There is so much to see and do in the area that a week just wasn’t long enough. We left with heavy hearts. Our family are spread out over the world and time spent together is very precious. We made many happy memories in the Charm house. Thank you Sandra and Eduardo. Wishing you both health and happiness. The only issue is ordering Bolt Taxis or Ubers to the property, at peak times the taxi will not be allowed by the local authorities to stop outside the accommodation, so you will likely have to walk into town for that.

"What a magical place! It’s like you stepped back in time when you arrive at this Quinta, surrounded by lush gardens. The woman who owns it grew up there and has so many fascinating stories to share about the house. Although it’s down a narrow gravel road, it’s easily accessible by car, Uber, and even Uber eats if you decide to order in. On the day we were without a car, were able to walk to the main road where there is a bus service to a lot of the sites in Sintra—though it was hard to leave the enchanting property. And my 8 year old son wanted me to mention that he found a lizard in the bathroom and had a lot of fun and the lizard was super cute."
