Car Rental Canto

There's heaps to do in Canto, but head farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Pick up a set of wheels and you can roam around the surrounding area at your leisure. Add these awesome drives to your travel schedule:

• Make your way to Rio de Janeiro for a fantastic sightseeing adventure. Approximately 85 miles from Canto, it's home to loads of amazing attractions such as Christ the Redeemer.
• Your next stop? It has to be Petrópolis, which is around 85 miles away. Quintandinha Palace is one local draw card you shouldn't miss.
• Spend time in the great outdoors and inhale the fresh air at Itamambuca Beach. You'll find it approximately 200 miles from Canto.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Brazil, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be able to rent a car. Also consider that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before driving away. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or off road with your rental car.
