Car Rental Furnas

There's loads to do in Furnas, but head farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Arrange a set of wheels and you can cruise around the greater area at your own pace. Add these awesome drives to your itinerary:

• Head off to Campos do Jordão for a fantastic sightseeing experience. Roughly 80 miles from Furnas, it's home to loads of cool attractions, including Amantikir Park.
• Next stop? Consider Campinas, which is around 45 miles away. Hopi Hari Theme Park is one local highlight you really shouldn't miss.
• Venture into the outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Christ the Redeemer. You'll find it approximately 220 miles from Furnas.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Brazil, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also be aware that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. Some added requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before getting behind the wheel. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with your rental car.
