Car Rental Hòa Bình

Once you've checked out all of the fabulous places in Hòa Bình, there's loads more to see in the surrounding area. Pick up the keys to a rental car, throw your luggage in the trunk and hit the open road. We've pulled together some road trips we know you'll love:

• Ha Long is about 80 miles from Hòa Bình. Top-rated sights like Halong Bay Marina deserve to be high on your list while you're in town.
• Next stop? Hai Phong, which is around 55 miles away. Cat Ba National Park is one local draw card you shouldn't miss.
• Get out into the great outdoors and appreciate the serenity at Fan Si Pan. It's approximately 170 miles from Hòa Bình.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Vietnam, then you'll likely need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. You should also be aware that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. A few other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You must be at least 25 in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before you drive away. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or off road with your rental car.
