When you've ticked off the amazing attractions in Punta Chica, there's plenty more to see in the surrounding area. Pick up the keys to a rental car, pack your bags in the trunk and get out on the open road. These are some road trips we think you'll enjoy:

• You'll find Our Lady of Lujan Cathedral and countless other interesting attractions in Luján. From Punta Chica, it's approximately 35 miles away.
• Next stop? San Nicolas de los Arroyos, which is around 120 miles away. Virgen Maria del Rosario de San Nicolás Sanctuary is one local draw card you won't want to miss.
• Spend time in nature and take in the serenity at Pinamar Beach. It's approximately 210 miles from Punta Chica.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Argentina, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. You should also be aware that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some added requirements for international car rentals are:
