There are lots of things to see and do in San Agustín, but venture farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Pick up a set of wheels and you can cruise around the surrounding region at your leisure. Add these fantastic destinations to your to-do list:

• You'll find Zocalo and loads more intriguing sights in Manzanillo. From San Agustín, it's roughly 120 miles away.
• Your next pit stop? Puerto Vallarta, which is around 110 miles away. Malecon is one local hot spot you really shouldn't miss.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Mexico, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be able to rent a car.
