“Stunning hotel and amazing atmosphere , 5 minutes from the train station , the 1 bed apartment exceeding my expectations, the bed was amazingly comfortable and the place was spotless with some crumpets and butter and milk in the fridge was just a brilliant touch , full sky tv and the shower is brand new ”

“This is a lovely cottage in a stunning location. The photos don't do full justice to how nice this place is. Small and still perrect for our little family. Very well equipped. Gorgeous gardens, bbq, outside seating is a plus. Lovrly nature right on your doorstep. Hosts were fab. Recommended!”

“Didn't actually manage to stay here and had to book alternative accommodation at short notice. Despite checking in online earlier that morning and advising of expected arrival time, I didn't receive the code for the lock box and all attempts at contacting the host failed, no response to phone calls or text messages, in fact the host declined my calls on numerous occasions. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED that this host left a solo female traveler stood outside in the rain and in the dark for over an hour……

“I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks……

“Lovely quite country location, off-street parking & all the comforts of home. Near train station if public transport is required, however noise from trains was not an issue. 'The stables is ideal for a couple with small kitchen if wanting to cook.”

“Nice, newly updated space. Location was good as we just needed a pit stop on our way North. Communication was great, very helpful and quick to respond.”

“Came up for the Kielder Marathon weekend. Cosy cottage which had everything we needed. Comfy bed, powerful hot shower and good kitchen facilities. ”

“Great little cottage, definitely remote (but easy to find) and with a lovely wild little garden, albeit it shared with the next door cottage, so care is needed when letting dogs (and children)! in and out. Was very well appointed although we had a couple of little niggles, being a loose toilet roll holder downstairs and we found it very dusty and would definitely benefit from a top to toe bottoming with a damp cloth, surfaces, inside cupboards etc. Finally we weren't overlly keen on the lack of……

“Idyllic cottage away from the towns and villages. Situated in a farm, it allowed our family to avoid the noise of modern day living. Warm and welcoming.”

“Delightful cabin in a peaceful setting. However, I was trying to escape fireworks for my terrified dog and instead had 2 stressful nights of loud fireworks. A country locale is not always the answer.”

“Swallow Cottage is in a great location for exploring Cumbria and Northumberland. We had a lovely stay in a comfortable and very clean cottage. The owner was fabulous when we had a small issue and responded straight away. We'd definitely stay here again”

“We loved our stay in Solway Breeze. The cabin was much larger than we were expecting. It was clean, comfy and lots of extra touches like milk in the fridge made it a great break away. The garden was secure and perfect for the dogs. With there just being the two cabins it was peaceful and lovely. It has been such a lovely relaxing stay. Thank you.”
