“We found the hotel to have a lovely traditional atmosphere, the rooms were large, with many traditional features, we had Chinese breakfast that was interesting. Misha welcomed us and was extremely helpful, we had free tea, we were picked up and dropped off at the station, we loved her! And she spoke very good English! Lovely experience, we were very happy and impressed with it”

“Located just inside the old city so close to the sights, restaurants etc. Boutique style. Staff were friendly and welcoming but don’t expect much English spoken. There’s just enough for basic checking in etc although written messages pre check in were very useful. A driver was arranged for me to pick up and drop off at station at a cost of CNY30 each way.”

“Beautiful set up, clean exotic facility but with modern comfort like new bathroom and wifi. The only thing is no electronic water boiler in the room, and also water from the shower is not strong at all.”

“The area was generally very dirty. The entrance to the hotel was being used as a shop for Chinese girls to get dressed up and having makeup. Hence it was as you were entering a small fitting room. The staff could hardly understand a word of english, while we had to ask for very standard supplys such as toilet roles to be provided to the room.”
