"This is a lovely country hotel with beautiful rooms and really great food. Service was friendly and relaxed.
Lots of beautiful small details in the room - lovely bathroom products, Nespresso machine, and chocolates to enjoy. The hot breakfast included in the price was really good and lots of choice to cater for all tastes! "
"This was a lovely place to stay. Check-in was easy, and the house was a quick walk from the train station. There was a lovely little welcome package when we arrived, and the room was clean, spacious and tastefully furnished. We were within a quick walk to pubs and restaurants, and the nearby historic priory. Would definitely recommend!"
"Excellent location, within a short stroll of the river, ruins, bars, shops and eateries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We managed to get a free hotel parking space very easily.
The only downsides were, our room was next to the lift, so it was noisy as people returned to the hotel in the early hours, plus the pillows were incredibly soft and offered no support at all.
That said, we would definitely stay there again!"
"Great staff, nice room with a strong shower, good selection of toiletries, fresh milk, proper tea in net teabags, coffee in brewing sachets - all very good!"
"Ideal location to attend family wedding. Parents booked because it was where I had chosen. Turned out to be a fantastic choice we were happier than other family members who stayed elsewhere. Food was great, Rooms superb, Staff friendly and accomodating. Would certainly return if in the area again"

"Staff very helpful and welcoming, rooms nice, spacious and clean. Bar prices reasonable , breakfast good - Garden area looked lovely although not quite the weather to sit out"

"A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though."

"Our room smelled like it had been smoked in and deodorized over it. Luckily iur window could open, and we propped the door open for a few hiurs to air it out. The room was large and comfortable. It's too bad people can't follow rules and not smoke...it's so gross. "
