"We chose and confirmed a room that specified a view of the harbor. This was not a request; this was the description of the room. When we checked in we were told that a harbor view room was not available.Our room had a view of only the backs of some old buildings.
In addition. there was a large support column in the middle of the room combined with a sloping ceiling that blocked access to the right side of the bed."
"Very friendly host/owner. The place is a family run hotel. The building itself is an old townhouse along the main road near Cherbourg. No elevator available , as usual for this type of building. Great breakfast and very welcoming."

"Just a beautiful, relaxing Norman house, with a fantastic garden in back, very tastefully decorated and well equipped. The living room furniture was exceptionally comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped. The house was spotlessly clean upon arrival and Marie-Ange, our host, was there upon arrival to greet us. She is a wonderful person, with considerable charm, and always responsive to our requests and questions. This was definitely one of the top vacation homes we have had in France. We hope to return -- often."
