"We had a great stay at the Stagecoach. The cabin is fun to stay at. It is not far from Acadia National Park. There were a few restaurants nearby including Scovils Millside Dining which had good food at great prices. The cabin was very, very clean. The outside shower was very cool. There was a picnic table and fire pit. The host met us there and went over all of the amenities and how everything works. We loved it."

By the pictures and description I was under the impression that it was a little more secluded but it was still very quiet countryside. I would recommend this place to anyone. The breakfast is very basic (Walmart bagels and a coffee machine) and the staff is not overly welcoming. Has great potential but felt very basic (some ideas: some lawn games or board games to make the shared space feel more inviting, fruit at breakfast, some bathroom items, etc)."

"The Machias River Inn being my first time being there, and living in the state of Maine it was 10/10. The cleanest room that you can tell was cleaned properly (I’ve stayed elsewhere in the state and can tell when housekeeping leaves behind trash visible in plain sight it wasn’t cleaned or swept). Helen’s restaurant has the best pie and it’s right on the property. The waterfront views were remarkable! We watched seals every morning. Also not to take away from guides but honestly if you go to any beach nearby you’re going to see Seals and puffins if you don’t want to pay the cost of a boat tour!"

"We loved our stay at this little gem! Everything about the cottage and location was just lovely. The view from the deck and the cottage was stunning and you felt like you were on a boat. It was so very peaceful and quiet. We saw loons most every day. The water was very clean for swimming. The inside of the cottage was beautiful, very clean and so livable. We even enjoyed sitting by the windows and reading on a rainy day! The AC unit was great and made the stay so very comfortable. We enjoyed cooking and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved the place and location so much that we basically hung out every day we were there! Too pretty to leave. Mark was a very responsive host and most helpful! Thank you for a relaxing and peaceful vacation!!"
