“This is a small family run hotel with great Tanzanian pride. It is clean, very quiet, with friendly staff. The hotel was down a side street and short narrow road. But our airport driver had no issues. We took advantage of Brown. He is a tour guide thst took us around Arusha for 2 days. He handled all museums, lunch, taxis, and questions. He was much better than larger kayak or Travelocity tours. We walked 1 km down the road to embers restaurant if you feel adventurous.This experience……

“This is a very welcoming place where everything is just exactly as you can wish for. The personnel is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The food prepared by a great chef is very tasty and the place itself is like a sanctuary. Perfect after coming from a safari or climbing the Kilimanjaro to relax. Don’t get stopped by the paved road leading to it. It’s worth the drive! Don’t miss the massage: it’s worth it too and the price is reasonable.”

“We had a great stay at lilac hideaway but the thing that stood out most are the way they stepped up to help guests with travel plans We rented a dud 4x4 and it would not start after we checked in - but Eli jumped in an d organized mechanics to come and then drove with us to take the car to the mechanics once they had gotten a new battery in. “Wonderful experience! If you’re traveling from another country absolutely everything you need is at this property. They offer airport pickups, tours of the market and best of all, a personal chef who made some amazing meals for us. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, plenty of selection and reasonably priced. Our market guide was super helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and informative. “I love this hotel! It’s clean and super safe (they have a security guard at the gate). The staff is helpful and welcoming. They can help you find restaurants, get a a taxi, even just answer questions about Tanzanian culture. Most speak very good English. The owner is onsite almost everyday and really nice. It felt like a home away from home. Don’t expect anything fancy though. The rooms are comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The top selling point is the atmosphere, which you can’t get at……
