“I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The room had a very strong, unpleasant smell and the bedding felt stale and musty. I had to keep the window open all day and night just to make the room bearable, which was far from ideal on a cold and wet February weekend. Cleanliness was also a major issue. The walls were visibly dirty, the bathroom had not been properly cleaned, the mats appeared unwashed, and the floors were stained. On top of that, there was no proper hot water for showers — we……

“We had a very brief stay, but we’re very comfortable in the Cosy Cottage. It was well equipped and very clean. The bathroom was small and a bit of a challenge, but we managed. ”

We was met with a complimentary bottle for valentines day which we thought was a lovely. “We thought Goldings was a lovely cottage in a lovely location but not without its faults, mainly the lighting which was awful, gloomy and only one light for a double bed, which was ridiculously bright ! Would be nice to provide a few coat hangers. We had a dog with us who we kept on a lead but the cottage to our left had a dog which they let wander over to grass in front of ours to do its business, twice this happened in two days,I got the feeling they only cleared it because they saw us, so I……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rumwold shepherds hut. Perfect location for seeing the local area, we spent a day at Port Lympne and had a Sunday roast at The Woolpack Inn not far away. The communication and services have been brilliant, the little touches and aesthetic were wonderful. We are planning to come back with our little one and stay at the family hut in the spring.”
