This rustic, detached holiday home, originally a hunting lodge, accommodates up to 6 guests and is nestled in the secluded Rotte Ebenhof, south of Ebenhofer Höhe in Edlitz, Lower Austria. The lodge features a cozy living room with a fireplace and two single beds, a small fully equipped kitchen, two spacious bedrooms, a bathroom, a separate toilet, sauna, and a large garden with furniture. Surrounded by forest, this retreat offers complete privacy and an ideal setting for nature lovers seeking relaxation. The Wechselland region is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, with hiking, cycling, and mountain biking routes, plus attractions like Erlebnisalm, Hamari climbing park, Wexl Arena, Eis-Greissler adventure park, and the Hermannshöhle stalactite cave. Wir (5 Personen und 2 Hunde) hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in dieser typisch österreichischen Jagdhütte. Es ist, als ob Sie eine österreichische Familie besuchen würden, mit allen Anzeichen von Familie, Jagd und lokaler Dorfgeschichte. Wir fanden das eine große Bereicherung. Wir haben uns wirklich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Viele Brettspiele zum Spielen, schöner kleiner Kamin, genug Holz zum Verbrennen ... Natürlich ist die Jagdhütte veraltet, erwarten Sie nicht die modernste Küche und Dusche. Aber alles funktioniert und wenn Sie ein wenig suchen, können Sie finden, was Sie brauchen, manchmal im Keller. Es ist sauber, ohne das schrecklich kalt sieht ein neu gebautes „Cottage“ aus. Man muss ein bisschen kreativ sein, aber das lieben wir. Abends/nachts kann es sehr dunkel sein, daher ist es sicherlich eine Herausforderung, das erste Mal nach Sonnenuntergang anzukommen. Bringen Sie eine gute Taschenlampe mit :). Aber auch das: Wir haben es genossen, in die Sterne zu schauen, was wir zu Hause kaum tun können. Alles in allem haben wir gute Erinnerungen!

Das Haus liegt mitten im Wald in Alleinlage mit einer tollen Aussicht und absoluter Ruhe zum Abschalten. Die Anfahrt ist im Winter bei Schnee nur mit Allrad oder Schneeketten möglich. Das Haus ist sehr urig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Ein schöner offener Kamin im Wohnbereich und genügend Platz. Die Küche ist grundsätzlich gut eingerichtet, es gibt keine Kaffeemaschine und Geschirr, Töpfe etc. sind leider sehr sehr in die Jahre gekommen und es war leider auch wirklich sehr unhygienisch. Leider gibt es keine Schränke zum Verstauen der eigenen Kleidung. Vorhandene Schränke beinhalten noch die Klamotten und Dinge des "Besitzers". Geheizt wird mit einem Holzofen der permanent bestückt werden muss, Holz und Anzünder waren aber genügend vorhanden. Die Sauna war schön, leider lief sie nicht zuverlässig und ging immer wieder aus, außerdem war das Licht kaputt, sodass man im Dunkeln saß. Für Hausstauballergiker ist es auf Grund der vielen Teppiche, Vorhänge und alten Kissen leider weniger geeignet, wir waren mit Tabletten und Spray zum Glück vorbereitet. In der Bettritze wurde eine benutzte Unterhosen gefunden, der Abfluss im Badezimmer ist verstopft und es gab nur lauwarmes Wasser zum Duschen. Die Hütte hat auf jeden Fall potential, es sollte aber an einigen Stellen noch nachgebessert werden. Ich denke wir werden aber kein weiteres Mal buchen.
