“The Occidental Lodge is a very charming, old-school lodge that is well-maintained and absolutely spotless. My favorite part was that there were no smells at all in the room, which I loved!The lodge is located in a tiny, quiet town that I would describe as a micro-country town. If you are planning a weekday stay, just keep in mind that the only things open are a little market and a breakfast café that closes at 3:00 PM. There were plenty of places to walk our dogs, and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We anticipate many returns. A great big thank you to all the staff. Because of limited wifi connection, you should share advance checkin code to avoid these issues upon arriving.”
