Time to Unwine-Waterfront Cabin w/Hot Tub! Pet Friendly! Blue Ridge Parkway

Beautiful cabin, spotlessly clean sleeps 1-4 and has a HOT TUB on the front porch, just outside the master bedroom. We are just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and our cabin is PET FRIENDLY (well-behaved dogs only!) Come stay at “Time to Unwine,” and enjoy the wonderful views, stocked fishing pond, fire pit with wood, free wifi/internet, the cool mountain weather, and all of the nearby activities. This cabin has all of the modern amenities. Our master bedroom features a queen-size memory foam mattress. Our loft bedroom is roomy and cozy and accessible by an interior ladder. We provide Keurig coffee maker, crockpots for easy cooking, and nice updated cookware.

The cabin includes a full kitchen with microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Our living room has a flat screen television and a stone fireplace (gas logs). Outside, enjoy our spacious front covered deck with picnic table, fishing gear, Adirondack chairs around a firepit with provided wood, and pond view! There is a permanent outdoor charcoal grill right outside the door.

Travel to nearby Buffalo Mountain for a breathtaking Piedmont view hike, ride gravel or mountain bikes on the New River Trail (a 57-mile rail-to-trail starting in Galax, VA). Or, just sit on the covered front porch that overlooks the well-stocked pond and listen to the quiet.

The cabin is located 15 minutes away from Mount Airy, NC (‘Mayberry’ from the Andy Griffith Show), 20 minutes from Galax, VA, and 30 minutes from Chateau Morrisette Winery. There are numerous local restaurants, breweries, and wineries - often with live bluegrass music! Recently completed, “It’s 5 O'Clock Here” is our second cabin. This cabin can be rented dually to accommodate larger families or groups. Contact us for details.

The cabin is less than 1/10 of a mile from Wellness Pursuits, and they offer yoga and fitness classes in a rural mountain setting.

While driving to the local wineries, stop by the local cherry, grape, apple and peach orchards, all within 15-30 minutes. Check out Mount Airy, NC, Andy Griffith's hometown Mayberry, and a great, thriving small town that is fun to visit!

This is a family-operated vacation home from the cabin detailing to the rental bookings. We are all proud of this home and want each and every guest to enjoy their stay. We do allow dogs and the area is dog friendly. We just ask for you to look after the cabin like it is yours. If any additional information is required during rentals, such as directions, supplies, etc., please call Laura or Dennis.

Wonderful mom and daughter weekend
We stayed for 3 nights to celebrate my daughter's 17th birthday. We had such a great time...the cabin was perfect for the 3 of us. It had everything we needed. Communication with the property owner was excellent...Laura was very quick to respond to a couple of questions that we had. We had a snowstorm but the cabin was warm and cozy with the fireplace, hot tub, and extra space heater. We would definitely come back!

Perfect place to get away with pets!
This cabin is in the perfect location for a quiet mountain getaway. It was fully stocked with just about everything you could possibly need...cookware, toiletries, cleaning supplies, games, movies, you name it! We brought groceries and cooked every meal at the cabin. There is no grill currently, so just be aware of that when planning your meals. The front porch has a latching gate to keep the dogs from wandering, which was a very pleasant surprise! The hot tub was perfect, with roll down shades for privacy. There is a neighboring house on the side of the cabin, but we only caught a glimpse of the neighbors once in 3 days. There are goats next door, but they didn't make any noise or smell at all. We only knew they were there because our dogs saw them one morning while playing in the yard. The other cabin on the property is a good distance away, and we never felt like we lacked privacy. Being just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, this cabin is very easy to find and isn't very far from things to see and do. I highly recommend Chateau Morrisette Winery in Floyd! Probably the most dog friendly winery on the planet! All in all, this is a fantastic cabin and you can tell the owners take great pride in making sure their guests have everything they need. The ONLY issue we ran into the entire trip was our car struggling to climb the gravel driveway as we left. It was a bit rutted and loose where the 2 driveways meet, but we were able to drive over the grass alongside the pavilion instead.

Lovely Cabin
Three adults friends on a girls getaway. What a beautiful, well stocked cabin. We assumed that the couch in the living room was a sleeper sofa. It wasnt, but still slept an adult comfortably. There were two bedrooms wirh beds. We especially enjoyed tge jacuzzi and the fire pit. We also has a lovely hike at Devils Den nature preserve.

Beautiful cabin but no privacy.
Loved the cabin, the funishings, the hot tub, the pond but couldnt reach anyone to get answers to questions we had once there. No directions on how to lock the door if we went somewhere. There was a keypad but we weren't provided any code/number. So we just didnt leave once we arrived. The cabin itself was very nice and thoughtfully furnished but it is within a few feet of someones home so its like being in a subdivision. The pond was awesome, clean and stocked.

Amazing!
It was clean, quiet, and the stars were beautiful. They wrote a birthday card to my daughter who turned 6. We had fun fishing, hanging out by the fire, relaxing in the hot tub. Owners were wonderful communicators. Also one morning there was a beautiful sunrise that reflected off the pond. All around amazing relaxing trip, definitely will come back!!!

Couple getaway
This place was perfect. It was just me an my husband getting away from the kids a couple days. Everything we needed was right there. It is beautiful, and quite. You are 20 min from town but it’s a beautiful drive. There is a house on one side but we never seen or heard the neighbors and a cabin on the other an the same for them. It felt like it was just us. The pond is perfect with fire place right in front. The bed slept amazing. The bathroom is beautiful. I was worried because there wasnt a picture. I totally recommend this place. We didn’t use the hot tub but it is nice and right outside your bedroom. Fireplace is nice we didn’t use it either because my husband is hot natured and it wasn’t cold enough for him. 🙄

Great for a family, small for friends.
The cabin and landscape are beautiful. It is very close to many surrounding activity locations. We were several guys just trying to relax outside of the city. The area was perfect. However, the cabin is better suited for a small family rather than a group of friends. The pond is beautiful and the abundance of birds and frogs made the instects nonexistent. The owner left a geat source of material at the cabin for finding things to do in the area. The neighbors, although close, were not a bother. There is a goat farm nearby, but there was no animal odors and the occasional goat nay was just a reminder that weren't in the city. Good times.
