A great little drive thru that specializes in the Mayberry style pork shop and BBQ. Right off the exit and near the Blue Ridge Parkway.
My family and I stayed in this motel, which is right before an entrance ramp to the Blue Ridge Parkway, on our way to Richmond Virginia to see the 2015 World Championship of Men's Cycling. This motel was a little rundown but had a simple charm to it. These types of lodgings heydays are long behind them. The road shown is also very weathered. Appalachia has garnered the stereotype of being rundown because of poverty, and this photo reinforces this idea. This also challenges the idea (my idea) of the region being frozen in time, this motel’s wooden lattice sign design is dated. #appalachianechoes

This is a wonderful cabin! Stocked with everything. Extremely clean. Quiet. Great view of the countryside and lake. We would definitely recommend.

Host was very prompt answering questions that we had pre-trip. We did not have any questions during our stay. The amentities were wonderful. From shampoo and conditioner, to pancake mix for breakfast, to several movie DVDs, to stacked wood to use at the fire pit. This was a most enjoyable stay.

This is our third stay and we will be back again. The cabin is so cozy. We walked in and the fire place was going and little xmas trees on both sides.
